Smudge is it likely to be on tomorrow at the arena if it rains again??

 

 

BRUNTY,Game in my opinion will definitely be on,one of the best draining pitches in C.C.L. Whyteleafe v Woking Tonight ON no inspection planned.All down to a different kind of rain,I did tell you.

Weird Surrey F.A.have double standards then,if you play in their Sunday Cups and a game gets postponed twice they switch it to the away Team..

And if you reach the Surrey Senior Cup Final, against Conference opposition on a neutral ground, and that gets postponed once (even though ground appeared to be perfectly playable), then the Surrey FA will switch the final to the Conference side's ground :angry: :wall:

(Not that I'm still bitter 11 years on! ;))

Weird Surrey F.A.have double standards then,if you play in their Sunday Cups and a game gets postponed twice they switch it to the away Team.The Senior County Cups used to be good earners for smaller Clubs 12 yrs ago remember going to Woking,Kingstonian,Aldershot,in one year alone where Croydon Athletic played in front of 1000+crowds against 1st Team opposition.Now all the big clubs get away games where they play their Youth and a few Reserves,and hardly bring any support.

 

 

With AFCW playing at Fleetwood tonight and again on Saturday, there is no surprise that their squad for Thursday is a mixed bag.

However 6 of the 16 names I have received have 1st team experience this season.

Difficult to know how many will be there if it goes ahead on Thursday but I have been asked to do 4 times our usual number of programmes and, if they sell out I can post out to those required the following day.

Yeah the Shirts do not run the competition for the Minnows,be interesting to see what team Sutton put out against Worcester Park as they played mainly Reserve Players against Molesey in the Senior Cup,are these Players not cup tied for the Premier Cup.Worcester Park are winners though not having any lights as these games are played midweek,it costs them Nothing.MICKEY MOUSE CUP it should be called.

Sutton fielded a full reserve side against CWU in the last round which Sutton won 1-0 at GGL.

We fielded a full reserve side which pushed them all the way in a very entertaining game.

In the end, their keeper (Paul Smith) won the tie for them.

There wouldn't be too much of a gap in a game between our 1st and reserves if such a game took place.

Just been confirmed that DFC are doing their 'unofficial' inspection at 15:00 hrs.

 

Watch this space ??

 

 

After a prelimanary inspection this morning and some ground work to be done this afternoon, the decision will now rest with the match referee.

Understand from my "inside sources" that Dorking is also off tonight. As ever the far bottom corner has been the downfall.

 

So at the moment my decisions are

Despite the Clubs best efforts, it was impossible to sufficiently drain and make safe the far left corner, (Kroons knows it well), and after a re-inspection at 15:15 hours, it was decided for SAFETY'S SAKE', to postpone the match.
