My pitch inspection of the Purley Way suggests more games tonight will be on than off,it was a diferent kind of rain that fell. What with sun and a drying wind helping, even fancy Dorking to be on.

LOL what kind was it Smudge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pitch inspection this afternoon I believe DT.

Good morning young Krooner.

As usual, your insider dealing knowledge is second to none.

As of 3:30 yesterday afternoon, after an inspection, it was deemed to be about 50/50. I understand a member of our officials will be looking again after work around the same time as yesterday.

At the end of the day, it may come down to the match official this evening.

I'm not sure if I'll be there or not. Me and 'Er Indoors' are still recovering from severe bronchitis !

The joys of global warming, I'm told ! cheesy%20(2).gif

Light Rain as opposed to heavy rain, the problem is not the rain it is the uneven surface that the rain falls on.Like the bumps and hollows at most C.C.L.Grounds,pitches on a hill should never suffer a la Camberley, Worcester Park.Maybe the C.C.L. could invest in a Blotter that they could loan to Clubs, but as I have read they only work to a maximum on even surfaces, they would probably get stuck in the Mud.

Weird Surrey F.A.have double standards then,if you play in their Sunday Cups and a game gets postponed twice they switch it to the away Team. The Senior County Cups used to be good earners for smaller Clubs 12 yrs ago remember going to Woking,Kingstonian,Aldershot,in one year alone where Croydon Athletic played in front of 1000+crowds against 1st Team opposition. Now all the big clubs get away games where they play their Youth and a few Reserves, and hardly bring any support.
