on the full trs video of the match you can see and hear that just before i score, i had a chance to shoot but choose to pass it wide. Fozzy our goal keeper was shouting shoot but i passed instead. I then get a 2nd chance from the clearing header. I chest it down and hear Fozzy again shouting but with less enthusiasm "shoot, Shoot"......... so i did !!

and as they say.....The rest is history................

OH PLEASE LET IT BE HISTORY,..............LOL

Never looked at these before, but I would agree with Bruntys viewpoint. Technically his goal is superior - he has a man up his ar*e, and turns him with a drop of the shoulder, clearly looks up and then hits a sweet strike which arrows into the top corner. Johnnos is another good strike, but he was under no pressure from anyone and the strike was a more looping effort. So, as a striker, I would take Bruntys effort all day. However, Johnno did score his at a vital point in a Cup Final and that would always give him the edge over a bog standard league game, however important that may be to the two sides playing. Plus it was 4-4, so the keepers/defences did not exactly come out of the game smelling of roses.

Brunty may recall watching our cup game this season when our right back hit as sweet a goal as you will see against Warlingham, and this would get his vote as goal of the season - then again, it is his only goal of the season!

Was a great strike i was right behind it !!

I am not the only one that has made the mistake of thinking JJ's goal was the winner as Cove won 2-0. The second goal has been forgotten!!!

It was essentially the game winner though, as Bedfont didn't score in the match, the first goal is seen as being the game winner.

Also if you notice on the video above as JJ's shot is about to go off the edge of the screen it takes one hell of a dip (almost like it hit something)!! I've not noticed that before so is that just an editing thing?

Having said that though, purely for the occasion in which it happened JJ would get the vote!

Either would have been a quality save, although it does look like the keeper took a bit of a flappy effort at Brunty's without actually getting off the ground. Was it right in the top locker like JJ's as it's hard to tell from the footage (it looks more central in the goal)?

Think the Befont keeper had given JJ's up as going over until it took that massive dip at the end.

Flukes??? as are the great point blank saves that are called world class when the keeper shuts his eyes and makes a star shape and happens to get a finger nail on the ball to push it on to the post!

almost went for fluke as really they all are, even in the premiership. Always hit and hope.

If you don't buy a ticket you can't win the raffle.........

JJ just watched the cup final video again and got to say that your Goal is probaly up there with all time greatest goals scored in a cup final,no disrespect to Brunty( as good a goal as his was) you will see this sort of goal in every league across the country on every saturday afternoon in the football season,no JJ's goal for me is the best goal ever scored in the CC that i've seen.
