After seeing both maybe mine a better strike but inever going to beat that occasion!

I'd not seen Johnnos worldy before that clip. Now can see why it's still talked about :icon29: Hero status. Unbelieveable goal

I voted for Bruntys thought. If its just on the goal, its v close but Brunty JUST wins. Just a goalkeepers opinion

what the hell would a goal keeper know about goals anyway?! You were only put in between the sticks cos you were either no good outfield or always picked last !

Except Teflon cos he is a ledge wherever he plays!

What always amazes me is when a long standing poster comes on and says they've never seen your goal before!!

I've def heard about it though ;)

Oh and btw a couple of things TRS. As reward for beating the dons Woking have sacked both the manager and assistant. (For off the field matters)

And you do an unbelieveable job and i'm sure everyone appreciates what you do. And if you hadn't taken the time to post that video I may have never seen Johnno's worldy :excited:

Can I change my vote to Brunty?

Never looked at these before, but I would agree with Bruntys viewpoint. Technically his goal is superior - he has a man up his ar*e, and turns him with a drop of the shoulder, clearly looks up and then hits a sweet strike which arrows into the top corner. Johnnos is another good strike, but he was under no pressure from anyone and the strike was a more looping effort. So, as a striker, I would take Bruntys effort all day. However, Johnno did score his at a vital point in a Cup Final and that would always give him the edge over a bog standard league game, however important that may be to the two sides playing. Plus it was 4-4, so the keepers/defences did not exactly come out of the game smelling of roses.

Brunty may recall watching our cup game this season when our right back hit as sweet a goal as you will see against Warlingham, and this would get his vote as goal of the season - then again, it is his only goal of the season!

Gone for JJ's as it was the occasion etc. I agree that Brunty's strike was better and he also beat a man before the strike. Sorry Brunty tho, Johnno gets my vote. To score a goal like that in a cup final especially being the winner, is only what some people dream of tbh!

I am not the only one that has made the mistake of thinking JJ's goal was the winner as Cove won 2-0. The second goal has been forgotten!!!

on the full trs video of the match you can see and hear that just before i score, i had a chance to shoot but choose to pass it wide. Fozzy our goal keeper was shouting shoot but i passed instead. I then get a 2nd chance from the clearing header. I chest it down and hear Fozzy again shouting but with less enthusiasm "shoot, Shoot"......... so i did !!
