Conceded a goal right at the end. What a Dog And Duck team we are!!

But seriously, fantastic result. Another hattrick for Danny Burnell and by all accounts, an accomplished performance with the result hardly ever in doubt.

COYR!!!

A very good performance by the whole team, restricting Marlow at one end and causing them all kinds of problems at the other. Well done to Danny for his second hat trick in less than a month, but credit should go to the whole team for pressuring Marlow all over the pitch and finding a lot of holes in their midfield and defence.

Going to need a similar performance in the next few games, so hopefully we can keep it up!

Well done Rebels!

We stay 4th, tied on points with Leighton, 4 behind Woodford and 5 behind Arlesey (who played each other today and Woodford won 2-1). We are only 3 points ahead of 8th though.

Great result and a great day out for the White Horse Rebels, shame Mark got his foot stuck in the door otherwise David would have missed the train...only joking David. the question raised coming back was "what does David have in his rucksack?" ... another hat trick for Danny, Sonner runs his nuts off and does not score. Well done Slough, looking forward to Tuesday and three points against Arlesey

Excellent performance. Pressured Marlow into mistakes from start to finish.

I thought Danny Burnell's performance today was superb, not just for his goals but also for his non-stop running and was unlucky not to score 4 or 5.

Everyone played their part especially Sean Sonner who marked his comeback with a typical all action performance, Coyney covered every inch of the pitch again and Chris Seeby was immense at the back.

Sets us up nicely for Arlesey on Tuesday.

An excellent result today albeit against a Marlow team whose season has imploded in recent weeks. 7 points from 27 since the start of November I will be surprised if they manage a top-half finish. As others have said the fight for play-off places is going to be extremely tight this season so we need to keep up the quality performancesWe have 36 points Aylesbury on 35 have 2 games in hand Rugby and Biggleswade both on 33 have 2 in hand and Daventry on 30 have 4 in hand so it really is all to play for.

My first game in quite some time, and a very enjoyable one to boot. I can't remember a front pairing for Slough who worked as hard as Sonner and Burnell did today. I felt pretty sorry that Sean did not get the goal his workrate deserved. There was some good fortune with at least a couple of the goals, but you sometimes make your own luck. I must admit that even at 3-0 up at half time, I had a lingering feeling of doubt at half time that we would win, but the red card finished the game as a contest, and from there we probably could have won by a cricket score.

Cheers to Lathey and Anderson kids for playing with my boy. He had a great time!

We kept the pressure on all game and got the passing going which kept Mason out of the game.

I have never seen Burnell run so much in a game - he was everywhere.

We passed the ball to the front two rather than the hit and hope long ball (including Fanners "pass" to Burnell for the goal!).

Coyne had a blinder - possibly his best in the amber and blue.

The luck did go our way, but we helped it go our way by working so hard and being there for the deflections and spills.

Good Slough support especially once under the cover and also the "old men" along the sides keeping the lino on his toes.

Gate of 247 - Marlows largest this season - unlike Windsor who only claimed 169 which is a surprise considering the claims that the supporters are right behind the club and doing everything they can - or maybe it this numerical dyslexia which caused the problems with the accounts?

I wasn't sure how this game was going to go as we had played Marlow a couple of times this season and had lost some of them.

We showed again today that we have some very talented and determined players who want to get the ball and play football and not american football (throw/kick the ball as far as possible and hope your team mate is on the recieving end)

Sean Sonner deservidly got a start today after the ashford performance and he made sure that he should be picked for tuesday night by covering every blade of grass on the pitch and harrassing there defence and midfield. This showed when he blocked the keepers clearance which fell to danny to tuck home. He was also desperately unlucky not to score a goal for himself but he DID provide the cross which led to the own goal.

Coyne was absolutely brilliant today ,except with some the tackling, and has shown that he may be the best midfielder in the league. He found every hole in the defence and exploited them magnificently, especially with the chip with the outside of the boot to find Danny excelently when he scored his first.

The only way Fanner could have got better from his last few games was to keep a clean sheet and he came very close, only beaten by a very good curled shot in extra time.

Also i thought the Seeby was very good today, stopping attacks and also on occassion leading attacks. Seeby has got excellent skill and ball control for a CB.

my MotM - Coyne (just infront of Sonner, Burnell)
