Driving back to Upminster from Lakeside there is a football ground on the left before you get to the Sainsbury roundabout . Who plays or owns this facility? Excellent potential.

The ground is the home of LINFORD WANDERERS - they play in the Essex Olympian League.

 

Linford Wanderers changed their name last season and are now called LAKESIDE FC.

 

If anyone wants to get to a match there, they are at home tomorrow against Old Chelmsfordians in the Senior Division 1 - please note that in this league the kick off is at 2pm (and sometimes 1.30 pm). If you are thinking of going I would strongly suggest you check the Olympian Lge web site first as there has been a lot of rain in the last few days and the pitch is close to the Mardyke flood plain.
