Leyton - Bite the Dust???

Recommended Posts

Still not official - I dont guarantee goal difference but points should be right. Perhaps someone could do an updated league table without Leyton's fixtures in next weeks programme. Just a suggestion.

Not as long as last time Andy. Decided not to reinvent the wheel.

I agree with EU.

I actually think the play off places are up for grabs by 4 teams out of about 8.

My prediction

ETU to win the league

Needham second

W & F 3rd

Town 4th (Enfield not Maldon)

Romford 5th

The only question in that lot is how good are Romford as we have not played them yet.

I also think that Enfield can come out of that mix promoted.

Ok another attempt which is also a correction of my previous table. Note that a victory against Sudbury will take up up another place at least.

Team's right down to Thamesmead will have hope they can get a run going and nick a play off spot. We have a momentum at the mo which includes winning the 2nd half away to Needham. We now have a run of home games and if we take advantage of that we could be coasting to the play off's as all teams other than the top two are dropping more points than average.

Maybe we should use the away changing room's and dug outs to make us feel AWAY.

Another unofficial table. We are still outside the play-off positions. I am starting to agree with Andy. This should have been sorted out by now as we all know the Leyton points are going to be expunged.

It is interesting that Steve has not included Heybridge in the group chasing the play off spots. They are an in form team and we have to play them twice. Romford and Abbey appear to have shot their respective bolts.

Romford are in the lower reaches of the league and owe their position to the opening games of the season. They also have a worse fixtture back log than us. If Abbey are to be included as a challenging club then I believe you have to include Thamesmeead, Potters Bar and Grays as these teams seem on a par with Abbey.

It is interesting that ETU and Needham Market are starting to stutter a little. Needham only drew with Brentwood today at home and we know how good Brentwood are.

Ok

The fifth play off place is very tight.

Of course totally unofficial but a win tomorrow would allow us to overtake Romford and take 5th place. also a win on Saturday will also damage Brentwood's hopes. I am concerned about Heybridge.
