Leyton

Recommended Posts

Just spoke to a good friend of mine who has updated me on the Leyton scenario.

All the players and manager have walked away as the club is believed to be severley in debt and there is not much chance of raising the money to pay the Ryman fee's let alone anything else.

Shame as my son played there a couple of years ago and it is one of the oldest clubs in non-league.

Would this affect the promotion/relegation issues between ESL & Ryman 1 North?

Not really. Means only one goes down if they do go tits up.

I haven't seen a list but I have heard that there aren't

that many clamouring to join Step 4 at the moment, so

as per, with all the knock-on effects above, it is doubtful

if rhe ESL will be seeing any new blood from above next year.

Who's applied to go up...usual suspects Enfield, BGU, Witham,

Barkingside?

One thing it will do is to p!ss Needham Market off, who

beat them 8-0 the other week and Tilbury who have won

both encounters.

We only drew 0-0 with them, so bring it on... :)

It's frustrating as I was recently invited onboard by the Manager Gordon Boateng and had big plans for the Club who have always been one of the sleeping giants of non league football, the sky could well have been the limit had they been administered properly and not involved themselves with the crooked Costas Sophocleous

Sad to see any club go, regardless who they are (strange sticking feeling enters throat),

but it does mean that Brimmo Anals drift another four points away from the play-off zone :)

Ryman 1 North bottom half of the table is a joke!Every year one way or another there are clubs that would finish in the bottom 3 of ESL that get a reprieve or else!I can see with pleasure that crisis is biting up clubs in that pony League.

Never waste jealousy on a real man. It is the imaginary man that supplants us all in the long run.. ;)

Ryman 1 ain't that good anymore and the fact Romford is in the top 7 is the living proof!lol

Rarely have the words 'Hullbridge in top seven of the ESL' been spoken.

ermmm once!!!lol But I reckon it will be easier once we get promoted to Rym 1 and get out of the purgatory or hell of the ESL which all Ryman clubs are scared of dropping in

Lord E will slap your wrists when he reads that last remark....

And remember, watering pitches at this level is a hanging

upside down and beating to death offence in the Ryman.

That was a compliment!!!It means it's harder!lol Just ask Barking,Enfield,Witham,Clapton and so on...
