Dancing On Ice - 2011

Come on then folks, who saw it on Sunday, don't all rush at once and what do you think of this years contestants who I don't think are quite as 'interesting' as last year although that remains to be seen.

Victoria Cross hero Lance Corporal Johnson Beharry, back to her best Kerry Katona, Steven Arnold aka Ashley Peacock in the Street, Angela Rippon, forever remembered for her infamous dance on the Morecambe and Wise show, Loose Women Geordie Denise Welch, Eastenders newcomer Sam Attwater, Craig McLachlan from Neighbours, Hollyoaks Jennifer Metcalfe, cricketer Dominic Cork, Jade Goody's ex Jeff Brazier, radio 1's David Vitty, Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan's daughter Chloe Madeley, children's presenter Laura Hamilton, former Eastenders Nadia Sawalha, Vanilla Ice who stole the show on Sunday and, wait for it, Ellen Rives, Frank Lampard's ex who will no doubt be glued to his tv set on Sunday nights.

I forget to mention that former newsreader Angela Rippon was deservedly and embarrassingly voted off the first show on Sunday for her dance routine that was described by Judge Jason Gardiner as 'dull and safe. Gardiner was spot on when he went on to say 'good riddance to old rubbish, it's good she has gone, she's so prim and proper in every way it leaves you cold and she won't listen to criticism, Angela only hears what she wants to hear'.

Apart from the brave soldier, what a useless bunch of has beens and never was parasites. Its difficult to believe that anyone with half a brain cell could be interested in watching such rubbish.

Missunderstood - Not at all, it's what you call old fashioned family entertainment and a throw back to the good old days of Morecambe and Wise, the Generation Game and Mike Yarwood when over 20 million people would sit in front of their tv sets on a Saturday and Sunday night. Shows like Dancing On Ice, X Factor, Strictly Come Dancing and I'm A Celebrity have, to a slightly lesser degree, brought those happy times back.

and, wait for it, Ellen Rives, Frank Lampard's ex who will no doubt be glued to his tv set on Sunday nights.

I think ITV knew exactly what they were doing when they sweet talked Ellen Rives into doing the show, they knew she would create huge interest particularly in footballing circles and ruffle Frank Lampard and Christine Bleakley's feathers considerably, can you imagine if she goes all the way

I would imagine Bonking Bobby, AKA Eastside Urchin will have a view on the lovely Ellen going all the way.

Here's a link to the Official Dancing On Ice Website folks detailing the professional skaters who will be dancing with the contestants, the pick for me are sexy Maria Filippov who dances with Craig McLachlan and obviously Lukasz Rozycki who is Ellen Rives partner:

So are we on our starting blocks for this evening folks, just two hours to go. I forgot to mention that Nadia Sawalha was also rightly voted off last week along with Angela Rippon and two more contestants will leave the show tonight, obviously that's not going to be Ellen Rives and I bet Frank Lampard has already ordered his Chinese or Indian takeaway.

I'm surprised, sorry, amazed Horace hasn't been on to gloat following Ellen Rives surprise, sorry, shock exit from Dancing On Ice on Sunday. Frank Lampard must have been dancing around his living room when Ellen received her marching orders however she didn't endear herself to the voting public and you could see why Lampard went off of her in a big way and moved on to bigger and better things with Christine Bleakley.

You don't imagine I actually watch this tripe, or even know who Ellen Rives is do you? Also, i was on holiday in sunnier climes :brille008: , and, you may be surprised to hear, Dancing on Ice isn't big in Fuerteventura! And there's nothing big about Christine Bleakley!

Just incase anybody is interested Craig McLachlan was the other contestant voted off the show on Sunday night, I have to confess I thought he would go a lot further taking into account his pedigree from Neighbours at the same time as when Kylie Minogue, Jason Donovan and Natalie Imbruglia were in it.

So what did we think tonight folks, for me the stand out acts were Vanilla Ice, Chloe Madeley, Jennifer Metcalfe, Sam Attwater and obviously Kerry Katona. My guess is that the wooden Steven Arnold and the equally wooden and arrogant Jeff Brazier will be voted off in little over half an hour.

Yes, unsurprisingly Steven Arnold, aka Ashley Peacock in Coronation Street, was unceremoniously voted off the show last night, I don't think I have ever seen a more wooden dancing performance!

Just over five hours to go to lift off and surely it has to be arrogant Jeff Brazier to be voted off this week, although Dominic Cork is clearly not the best ice dancer in the World I was amazed that he was given his marching orders last week

  • 2 weeks later...

With just under half an hour to go to 'lift off' are we all on our starting blocks for this weeks eagerly awaited show. I was amazed when sexy Hollyoaks actress Jennifer Metcalfe and hunky French boyfriend Sylvain Longchambon got their marching orders two weeks ago and very

surprised last week when stunning professional skator, and David Seaman's partner (see link), Frankie Poultney departed albeit with her 'wooden' dance partner Dave Vitty:

It's an extraordinary series this year isn't it folks and who would have thought in a million years that stunning reformed character Kerry Katona would have been voted off last week, truly amazing stuff. So who do we think will get their marching orders tonight, surely it has to be the arrogant Jeff Brazier.

Must be all the Bowers & Pitsea fans keeping Jeff in. :futbolbud2:
