If we are the main user then I would say it's up to us which night is used but we need to take many things into account before decissions are made.

In terms of people using the stadium the liklihood is that the athletics club will be the venues 'main user'. There were more than 100 runners there tonight and the athletics club use the stadium at least once a week, every week of the year!

The stadium and running track is looking really impressive but it's a shame too see that the lower seated terrace has been removed to make way for the long jump.

I'm ok for ETFC to play on a Wds as Spurs and Arsenal usually play mid week league and cup matches on a Tuesday. At the same time we need to discuss sensibly the priority usage of the stadium (and i'm sure we will) as keeping those Athletes and their club on our side will encourage the use of our other facilities such as the Cafeteria and the bar which will be ours.

Having regular steady custom on each day is a very healthy business module. We must open our arm's and welcome as much use of our grounds that will help us financially as well.

And that's all the many things that I said need to be taken into account but the Arsenal and Spurs point is rubbish as they play any night that tv wants them to.

Quite right Bru as Anchor tenants its up to our board to decide who has right of way when events take place . Athletics must come second to Town matches .

Disagree on that one I'm afraid. Let's make friends and try to accomodate people, rather than annoying them as soon as we move it. If it means ETFC home matches are on a Wednesday, so be it.

What like we did at Brimo ? doh.gif

If they want to run then there's a playing field fifty yards away , Its as simple as that . armshh0.gif

And if we want to play football there are many pitches in the park we can use. It's not as simple as that, I'm afraid. We need to be open and friendly, the last thing we need once we move in is negative publicity from organisations that are already in situ.
