Does it actually surprise people if a web site looks the same as someones elses, do web site companies these days just design one and go bust or something....is every site unique, someone tell me?

But it's now starting to develop a style of its own. The more non-league web sites the better - regardless of what they look like. <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I assume that the unknown browser was probably Cyclops trying out something interesting.

Some browsers allow you to pretend you are using a different one (or to block the name of your browser from scripted requests). I think this started with Opera, because MSN deliberately screwed up badly if that browser was used (Microsoft lost the ensuing court case). You can set up Opera to show itself as Opera, MSIE, Netscape or nothing (IIRC - I have got Opera but I don't use it very often, and then only really for testing PHP stuff). You can find out more about that (and just why there is now a "Bork" version of the browser on Opera's web site.

Having said that I think that football clubs sometimes get a bum deal when they pay out good money for web sites which don't work, I had a look at the Spurs effort yesterday. It is a complete mess in Mozilla, Netscape and Galeon because some of the adverts are shown over the top of the menu. In Konqueror those adverts don't show up at all (I'm sure their sponsors will be really pleased to know that!) but it does work perfectly in Opera.

BTW, Spurs have a few ex-EFC faces on their staff (Jimmy Neighbour, Peter Hucker, Tony Tillbrook).

Tony Tillbrook is now coaching at The Abbey.

Sad to hear that. I hope he can soon find a job in football;-)

So you're not interested to know the where abouts of ex-Enfield players then?

Tillbrook is also coaching for Spurs (per their web site) and Charlton Athletic (according to Eddie McCluskey last time I saw him). Dunno how Neil feels about those two! Plus he has played for Ware this season.

BTW, he is also the only goalkeeper I have ever seen sent off in a penalty shoot-out.

The Official WebSite of

You can not view our site correctly with your browser!

Please download last version of IE from Microsoft's Site

As a Linux user, I'm not going to be using IE, am I? I hope WAFC aren't parting with money for being shown to have this user unfriendly attitude!
