Nearest train station to Takeley's Ground

Hi guys

Trying to find the nearest train station to Takeley's ground as we're playing them tomorrow night.

 

Coming in from London however the website doesnt really help too much.

 

Any help would be much appreciated. North Essex you might know??

Takeleys nearest station is Stansted Airport----10 min taxi ride at outside

Yep, the Stansted Express leaves from Liverpool Street Stn, shouldn't take long.

That's great thanks guys......looks like it's a monster trip for me then to get there.....and expensive!!

Yeah thanksfully the game was called off nice and early so i hadnt started the trek across country!! Thanks for the heads up though!!

I went that way a couple of years ago. For some reason Stansted Airport

has a paucity of Taxi signs but once located in main concourse it's all

rather efficient. You tell somebody your destination and they charge you

up front. Then give you a ticket and outside for a seven-seater.

Thanks Coup - i'm sure i'll get to experience it this season as we now have to play both Takeley and Stansted away which are likely to be midweek games!!

Here to help...

Stansted's ground is about a 20-minute hike up hill

from Mountfichet station then turn right at the top.

Should know your way from there, no?

Yeah i've done the Stansted trip a few times actually - wasnt thinking! Thanks again though

 

That is one hell of a hill as well and there are never any cabs at that station!!
