Steve Cumber,John Tebbit,Brighton Rebel and our excellent programme

In yesterday's match programme [slough v Hitchin], Steve Cumber writes ' I've speculated on a number of occasions just how many people read the stuff that I[and John and Brighton Rebel] write for this programme ' and then later in the same paragraph,he quotes ' But in truth,if I was to get 25% of purchasers reading this I would be happy '.

Well,Steve,I'm one of your 25% and I buy a programme every time I attend a game,if they haven't all been sold.

I just wanted to say a big thank you to all those who make the programme such an enjoyable read and one of the best programmes in Non-League football, especially given the fact that Slough play in one of the lower leagues now, to the past.

I would thoroughly recommend it to all fans. It's certainly good value for money.

Compared with some of the rubbish programmes other Non- League clubs produce, which I've bought to my dissatisfaction at away games, it's something else Slough FC as a whole, deserve a lot of credit for, since Steve Easterbrook / the board of director's and The Supporter's Trust got together.

As is Slough's fantastic website and this forum.

Well done all those who've contributed to such an effort.

I would second all that 3spirit has said above, some of the garbage produced by clubs that are "better" than us is unbelievable. Keep up the good work guys.

I always buy a programme and read it through. It's VERY good - consistently the best programme I've seen from the various clubs I've supported since my teens. Best if all it's uncluttered by the vacuous marketing hype and sanitised corporate messages you get from league clubs.

Well done to all involved.

Be great if some of the programme articles could be published on the Slough Town website.

I do it on my blog and email it out to subscribers so a few more people get to read it.

Just published the Hitchin one http://sloughtownsoapbox.blogspot.com/2011/01/weather-warning.html

Have a look at the reply from the southern league about fixture congestion!

You can also subscribe to my twitter feed to be told when i've put articles on the blog. You can find me under brightonrebel.

Will see what we can do about putting more articles on the Official site, but from the clubs point of view they don't want to affect programme sales by putting all the content online which is understandable. Our programme is excellent and I don't understand why it hasn't won more awards for it.

Steve Batemans's progamme notes are featured on the site though.
