Eversley 0 Bedfont Sports 1

Sports won it with an early goal. Lots of half chances, but the scoreline was added to throughout the rest of the game.

Good look to Sports in the next round. They are very well organised and extremely difficult to beat.

Our pitch held up quite well despite all the rain and we still haven't had a game cancelled due to waterlogging.

Chertsey 1-2 Molesey

Superb again from the Moles and our 12th win in a row in all competitions and 10th win in a row in the league.

2 points behind Guildford now

Chertsey looked weak at the back and we kept them reasonably quiet going forward.

Only sour note were the Chertsey fans who went around next to the Molesey fans at 2-0 and looked to be trying to cause some trouble... Still we had the last laugh as the players danced off the pitch to our applause and their boo's. I notice that we didn't boo their players nor did they clap their players off!

A significant day in the title race - is it now heading for a two horse race?

The last result Chertsey needed after their shock defeat by Hanworth Villa and they were mostly second best here. Not a great spectacle for game of the day in truth, but Moles won't care less as they creep up on Guildford. I'm happy with my prediction of Molesey 1st and Guildford 2nd, but time will tell!

The Mighty Knappers make it two in a row! A great performance against Farliegh at the Croydon Arena. Is this the start of another second half run. We only need to win every match until the end of the season with:

Bedfont Dropping another 10 pts

Farnham 20 pts

South Park 19 pts

Worcester Park 7 pts

Hartley Wintney 12 pts

Staines Lammas 5 pts

Cobham 5 pts

Eversley 6pts

Warlingham 15 pts

Farleigh Rovers 4 pts

CB Hounslow 5 pts

So its all easy-peasy.

PS If you are wondering where the other teams are, they cannot overtake the Knappers, if the Knappers win all their games.

Mole Valley SCR 3-0 Sandhurst Town

Really good performance by our lads, lots of passion and effort - all of which was missing on Monday.

Took the lead on about 7 minutes when Kris Barry played in Richard Monan to fire home (I think capitalising on a defensive mistake).

Sandhurst had a reasonable amount of possession, but apart from a few dangerous crosses from their number 7 (don't know his name, but looked dangerous when he got the ball), which were dealt with well by our backline, they did not really trouble us.

At the other end we had a couple of chances, when Liam Holden and Barry both looked to have got free, only to be flagged offside.

Our keeper preserved the lead about 15 mins before the break, when another decent cross was headed back across goal to an unmarked player 6 yards out, but Bowden threw himself bravely to block the shot.

We increased our lead on the stroke of half time, through Liam Holden.

Second half started badly, when keeper was dismissed for handball outside the area, may have been a bit harsh, but unfortunately i was tidying up the boardroom so did not see the incident.

Centre half, who we found out used to play in goal for Lingfield in the Sussex league, took over between the sticks.

A few minutes later, a deflected Holden effort made it 3-0.

Sandhurst had a few chances in the second half, but nothing really to trouble the keeper, and we wasted a few on the break towards the end, but overall would have settled for 3-0 before kick-off - jeez, after Monday, would have settled for a shot on target

Mole,

I think your comment about Chertsey fans looking for trouble is a bit unfair. In reality they had accepted a loss and went to the other end for a bit of a sing off and banter, nothing more. Why you have to interpret that as trouble i dont know.

You are right, Chertsey did look poor at the back but you were gifted your first goal and maybe should have scored more. Your keeper could do with some kicking practice but to be fair to him he was a topman in the banter stakes. I heard a Chertsey fan offer to buy him a beer after the game and his response was dont worry . I'll just take the three points!! Priceless for a young lad!

Well done and overall probably a deserved win, but Chertsey didnt paly as we know they can

CHERTSEY looked like they had to many chiefs. no senior patterson, more people on the bench, shouting contary things to players on pitch. no real style of play. have seen chertsey 4/5 times this was awful. without some goodwork by bradshaw this could have been a rout. i too remarked about the chertsey fans going up the other end, near the end of the game. it looked intimadating. i am sure spencer wont give up, but they look like a bunch of individuels. good to see so many ccl

managers and players. including a chertsey legend POMMERS. when does the transfer window close.coffee%20%282%29.gif

Horley Town 0 Banstead Athletic 1

I went to the chippy last night and begun to order my meal, please could I have a portion of chips with a battered banstead.

It is now becoming an awful habit for Horley Town to dominate the field of play for long periods of the game only to end up with nothing. Our finishing today was nothing short of woeful, every shot lacked any real conviction or belief. The keeper also had one of those days where thou shall not get beat regardless of the numerous shots on target. Yes Banstead were a lively bunch of youngsters who continued to hustle and bustle and I am sure the remainder of the season will see them more and more gel as a team. The fact that 2 key personnel were absent from this encounter due to amounting 5 - 10 bookings of which 80 % were gob to officials only adds to the frustration. If chances created become chances converted then a climb up the ladder is imminent.

Sorry but this is a very poor post. At first I thought it was quite amusing that the young Chertsey fans came round to our end but they didn't even seem to realise they'd scored they were that intent on trying to wind us up. In reality, threats to "slash our tyres" and "shag our wives" can be taken in jest, but being called "gypsy's" "inbreds" and "paedophiles" is not 'banter'. They also threw two plastic lucozade bottles towards us but luckily they were about as accurate as your strikers and missed by some way.

Can understand if it was local chavs who don't normally associate themselves with Chertsey but a number of them were wearing Chertsey Town tracksuits.

My 6 year old nephew came to his first game last week and I would have been a lot angrier had he decided to come along to this one as well.
