Shame to see Jay wants to go but he can`t stay around forever he would have to leave at sometime . Good that club will hold out for a fee and maybe it will allow Iain to free up some money to get in another Front man to help Shaun out up front . The midfield in my opinion is ok but we really need another player up front to help us push on up the league .

yes we beat sutton without hlm but to say we would be a bit light in midfield without him is a hell of an understatement!

I don't know the ins & outs of all this though had an inkling something was up, as a few others did, but Jay Saunders has been a magnificent player for this club & that shouldn't go unsaid. However, age catches up with all of us (not just me) & his once occasional mistimed tackles that led to him receiving a few yellows & reds have now increased & become more consistent with age.

Jay has always a great worker & skipper & we shall certainly miss his input & aerial ability but life DOES go on & we CAN win games without him as has been seen recently.Should Jay depart for pastures new (or old) or take up the Ramsgate Managerial role then good luck to him. He dosen't owe us anything.

I agree Andy, if we can get another target man upfront that would be awesome, midfield is fine, pinnock can play there too so your right, we need another striker

I think the midfield is extremely light now.

We have lost ?losing bith marsden and Saunders.

 

Is it any coincidence that we have struggled more since marsden left-he was/is arguably a bigger loss that JS

As Jays shirt sponsor i feel i must just add my opinion, which will be similar to Cookie. Jay will know that he has not always been firing on full cylinders this season, but hey, how many others have also performed less than expected this season. I for one would much sooner have Jay in the Squad, than not. He has been reliable, controlled and influencial, and it is a great shame that he has decided to go. But i'll tll you this if Jay is playing on Saturday or Monday, he should be given the warmest of apprectation for all he's done for MFC.
