Not CCL (obviously) but Bedfont Town are delighted to confirm the transfer of Jon-Jo Bates to League One Dagenham & Redbridge today on an 18 month professional contract.

That is brilliant news ... heard about it last week...pity he was not on a contract but at least there are some tie ins for the future...Well done Bedfont Town......PS I bet JB is a very proud dad.

Yeah he's over the moon Weebs, as are we all, just hope the lad knuckles down and makes the most of a great opportunity such as this. Re contract, on this occasion I'm not sure it wouldn't have put a club like the Daggers off to be honest, we are satisfied with the terms of agreement of the deal that was submitted to The FA. By the way, it is likely we will be hosting them in a friendly on Tuesday 1st March (2 weeks today) so if you have no game why not pop down, that goes for anybody else on here...

WELL DONE JON-JO DAD MUST BE VERY PROUD ! ALWAYS GOOD TO SEE NON-LEAGUE PLAYERS MAKING THE GRADE TO THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE. HAVE DAG & RED OFFERED ANY MONEY FOR HIM AS I ASSUME JON-JO WAS NOT ON CONTRACT HOPEFULLY THEY WILL ?

He's a local lad with friends at the club with one of them being our manager, i would presume that has alot to do with it. As you ask alot of questions all the time NICE GUY, i'll ask you one, have you ever played the game and at what level?

MOLL'S SORRY TO SAY I HAVE PLAYED AND A LOT HIGHER THAN YOU ARE CURRENTLY PLAYING AT THE MOMENT.

 

REASON FOR ASKING IS THAT SMITH MUST BE QUITE DECENT TO PLAY REGULAR FOR MERSTHAM, GETTING MANY STARTS ALONG THE WAY, SO WHERE'S HIS AMBITION ? WHY BE A BIG FISH IN A SMALL BOWL ? YES, HE MAY BE UNHAPPY AT MERSTHAM AND WANTS TO PLAY WITH HIS MATES, BUT FOR ME (IF IT WAS ME) I'D BE SEEKING HIGHER LEVEL OR MAKE A SIDE MOVE NOT DOWN.

 

I ASK, WOULD SMITH GET ANY BETTER PLAYING 2 DIVISIONS LOWER ? INFACT NO, COS HE'LL BE GETTING INTO BAD HABITS, POSSIBLY NOT TRY AS HARD COS THE LEVEL DOESN'T REQUIRE AS SUCH..... IT JUST SEEMS STRANGE THAT'S ALL, AND THERE ARE MANY LIKE HIM. WHAT HAPPENS IF THE MANAGER & HIS MATES DECIDE GO ANOTHER LEVEL DOWN WOULD HE FOLLOW ?

He does D.T.but every time he posts i think of DAVID DIMBLEBY,and my favourite T.V.programme QUESTION TIME.As know one knows who he is,or ever met him,the only downside he has is his SLAGGING OFF of Grounds,Clubs,on a regular basis on this site.Hardly going to get the occassional supporter through the gate,if they read his posts.

I know who is is and he has not played at a much higher level although it is higher than CCL.... Not a bad player either... I also know that the majority of questions he poses he has the answers to...... Just likes to get people thinking.......
