With regard to the game , I thought we were easily the best side in the first half with plenty of midfield possession but unfortunately only creating a few chances.

Uxbridge bossed the second half and deserved their win for their endeavours. I was speaking to one of their officials and the reason they are so far down the

league is that they have had most of their first choice defenders out until lately, so really they are in a false position. I thought they were one of the

better sides we have played. Bring on Hitchin, we fear nobody.

Hi guys, keep the faith & keep supporting the team. At the moment you are sitting in a play off place with nearly half a season gone, so all is far from lost . It would be nice if ourselves, you or rugby go up as we are proper football teams with real supporters not one man & his dog village teams. Hi Canarie Lad, yes the White Horse in Hedgerly is the watering hole for the Real Ale Rebels, a few go before the game but the rest go to drown our sorrows after the games. The noisy one will be Dave the Programme seller....

Thanks guys but that pub seems a fare way out from the station, so we may try the swan,white hart or saracens head ( any comments most welcome) in the town,see u saturday.

I'm a life member of CAMRA,too and a Slough supporter to boot. Beaconsfield train station is in the new town part, not the old town centre where The Swan,White Hart or Saracen's Head is. You're a fair way away from the football ground. No pubs in the new town.

In the old part, The Greyhound used to be the best real ale pub opposite the church until couple of years back,when some twit [ new landlord] decided to put all lager fonts in and stopped selling real ale. I haven't been there for some time but a friend of mine said they now serve real beer again.

The Swan is about the best real ale pub in old Beaconsfield nowadays. Nothing special but about the best of the three.

If I was going to have a beer AFTER the game [if I was coming from Hitchin via Beaconsfield Train Station] I would consider using the taxi firm based at the station to get me to the excellent Royal Standard of England in Forty Green[and back again],which isn't far from the train station but certainly isn't in walking distance or an easy find[but taxi firm will know it,as I've used this option on more than one occasion].

The White Horse in Hedgerley,The Jolly Woodman in Littleworth Common,The Royal Standard[different one than the one mentioned above] and The Chequers in Wooburn Common,and The Jolly Cricketers in Seer Green are about the best other pubs nearby but a car is needed to get to all of them.

Alternatively if you go to Slough station and get the 74 bus from there you will pass the real ale pubs on the way to the ground and the 74 bus stop is outside the ground. Correct me if im wrong though as i never go to any of the pubs

You're probably right about the 74 bus goes from Slough to our ground [Holloways Park] but it won't pass any of the real ale pubs I mentioned,as they are all down country lanes except for the ones in the old town.
