Libro and I are currently having a great dispute about Capital Punishment (no need to tell you who thinks what!)

 

Found some great sites with stats and pics of executions over the last few years in USA. Didn't realise Lethal Injection was so popular.

 

71 executions in the USA in 2002. 70 by Lethal Injection, just one by Electric Chair.

 

Bit of a fan of the Gas Chamber myself.

"MINISTERS CLOSE PUBLIC DRINKING LOOPHOLE

New measures closing a loophole in the law on public drinking came into force today.

 

Until now, police have only been unable to confiscate open bottles and

cans in designated "no alcohol" zones.

But now they will also be able to seize unopened containers under an

amendment to the Criminal Justice and Police Act 2001."

You shouldn't hang kiddy killers or fiddlers, 50yrs of nonce bashing is a much better and slower punishment!

 

Unless the rapist is a serial rapist that jumps on people who walk down the street you can't hang rapists, it's too one persons word against the other. Imagine that, you dump your bird and within a year you're at the gallows!
