Very well done fellas. Great result.

Jim Ward lives to fight another day.It was a near thing for him today though.Ramsgate equalise & then score the winner, both in last 5 minutes. He's hanging on by a shoestring. Damn, spoilt my day!!

Sadly I DID see it Ian. A third result was on the cards until your lads equalised or should I say until they got the winner. Blast!! Oh well, not long to go regardless of todays result eh? Its only a matter of time I should think.

Just looking at what we have coming up, and out of all the fixtures we have left, and although we are now into January, we have still not played 5 teams in this league home or away. Thats 10 of the remaining fixtures. The teams are

Hastings

Hornchurch

Hendon

Harrow

Carshalton

Ian , do you know where I can get the Whitstable result? found it 1- 1

Dover on fire today , 5 goals to just the one player

Yes it finished 1-1 Faversham took the lead and Whistable equalised with 10 minutes to go with a cracking goal from ex Margate player Pullman (he came on for Blackman.

Whistable should have won it by a country mile.

A good win today and well deserved, although it must be said that the opposition didn't offer much. Mr O'C in the stands, must have been suspended for his rant at Hartsdown, and Jay at the ground but not named (suspended still?)

We should have had it won in the first half, which we comprehensively dominated, camping in their half and forcing a string of corners. We had a good penalty shout turned down just before the actual penalty, put away nicely by the big man.

Even so we could have gone in at the break even-stevens, had their forward not panicked with only the keeper to beat.

Second half we were still the better team, although Stones made a bit more of a go of it. A couple of times they appeared to beat the offside trap, only for the lino to see it differently.

However, Gate always looked more dangerous in possession, with Stubbs outstanding in attacking midfield, giving good support to SW and JP. The second goal, which had been coming for a while, knocked the wind out of Maidstone, and that was it really.

Funny moment at the end, when the dude who got sent off threatened to fill in the loudmouth in the crowd, who then ran away before the player had time to get to the carpark!

Hey, ho, 3 points in the bag, but we will face harder tests than that.

Fully deserved win today, Chris has more or less covered it. Have to say I thought Maidstone were pretty poor. How many shots on target did they have? They haven't won a home league game all season yet are unbeaten away since Ford took over! Thought we could have done more to exploit their keeper who played the second half with one leg. Easily their best crowd of the season of 472, with 70 or so visitors.
