Romford - connections

As there will not be a full programme for the match v Romford on Tuesday next - there will most likely be a team sheet or a four page programme -I have posted the connections onto the forum, in the hope that we can find a few more players who have played for both clubs. I have split the list into two parts - the first is for players who have played for the new Romford (ie from 1992) and the second list is for players who have played for the old Romford ( 1930 to 1977). There are almost certainly a lot more players who have played for both clubs, but the older programmes do not contain pen pictures, and the Hornhchurch handbooks are few and far between, so there are gaps in this list which I hope can be filled.

 

We also played other teams from Romford - these are Romford Argyle (1925), Romford Brewery (1928 to 1940), Romford Fire Service (1942), Romford GasCompany (1928 to 1930), Romford Red Triangle (1925 to 1930), Romford South (1940), Romford St Hilda (1924), Romford Strollers (1933), and Roneo Athletic Romford (1926 to 1946), who also played as Roneo Sports (1942 and 1943). Any conncections with these are very unlikely to be known, but anything will be appreciated.

All you need to do is apply to become a 'supporter' your own name old boy and one of our webmasters will check you out and then transfer you on to the 'members' list if your application proves to be genuine.

 

Then you can start a new thread in the 'Boro home etc' section and put your list info in to get a response from the club supporters.

 

I suspect that you've not had much response on here because Romford no longer have a FF Forum of their own on here to browse over.
