Well i agree with you Spy,but I think the clubs will vote it through,just because 21 clubs will not have to try it this year,but be warned, I think this venture will be a further strain on C.C.L. Club resources,which are tight at the moment.Do you think for 1 moment that the Team representing Guernsey will be a weak one,with the amount of money they are prepared to pay out to get you there.Will there be a lottery for teams as to when they go,as it gets cold there in winter months too.You will have no support away,you will have no big away support at home,unlike A.F.C WIMBLEDON brought to the C.C.L.Rugby players are a different breed to Footballers,they love a shant.Whereas Footballers of today only buy a lucozade or coke,thats if they have any money on them.Will their wives let them go on an overnight stay,and if they want to go it will cost £100 minimum for them to do so,hope clubs give it deep thought.

On top of that, what are their intentions// It must be to progress. As you say they are highly likely to be good enough to gain promotion and there is absolutely NO WAY that they could play a season in the premier div playing all their home games on a saturday and there is also no way (look at the postponements and re-arranging needed in the last 5 seasons) that Alan would be able to work the fixtures accordingly. NO WAY IN A MILLION YEARS !!!

Will the team representing Guernsey be their 2010/2011 Champions,7 teams only in their Div 1,no 6 now 2 teams merged.HAS ANYONE ASKED.

Read an article of recent from Matt Le Tiss's brother, head of GFA... Stated that it will not effect thier current league which will operate solely midweek. This Gurnsey "super team" will be made up of players still registered to their orig club, playing in Geurnsey league. It will effectively, without officially be a Geurnsey national team.

If that is the case,how do you think a C.C.L.1 side would compare.GUERNSEY lost 3-2 to an English Universities X1,LOST 2-1 to Jersey,and 3-0 to Turkish side Ankara.

Potential problems that are bound to arise!!

 

1. PLAYERS WHO DONT FLY

2. PLAYERS WHO WORK SAT/ SUN MORNINGS

3. NO N.H.S -player gets a bad injury who pays?

4. TIME TRAVELLING TO THE GAME - I hate the trip to Hartley wintney let alone Guernsey.

5. WHO REFEREES GUERNSEY HOME GAMES? -Enough 'homers' in this league already!!

6. If Guernsey fc play all there league home games saturday what if they are drawn at home in cup games and we get weather like this season? Midweek to Guernsey!!!

7. PLAYERS WHO ARE NOT ALLOWED TO TRAVEL ABROAD! -yes there must be some!

8. FLIGHT DELAYS THERE AND BACK

9. BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE!! - petty but will cost a fortune!!

 

There must be many more but those are some off top of my head!

And just one last thing if this is a representative side made up off Guernsey based players they could potentially walk away with division 1. Im sure if we took a rep side made up of the best players in this division now it would walk many step 6 leagues and no doubt give step 5 diviisions a run for there money.
