Bedfont Sports v Staines Lammas off , yet surprisingly I have been told that Felthams game who's pitch is adjacent to Bedfont Sports pitch is likely to go ahead.

I went over to The Orchard this morning and the pitch was 50% green and playable, I'm told that Nut250 was there in the afternoon and that it was around 80% so reckon Feltham will go ahead at 2pm so long as these soaring temperatures continue. May even go and watch as I'm going kranky without footy!!

Maybe Feltham are lucky in having a dedicated Groundsperson in Nut,whilst others wait for the elements.Shame the League/Clubs could of not had a bit more foresight with Weather forecasts, pretty accurate nowadays, and put all fixtures back to Tuesday.

Interesting that a couple of Ryman games called of today (Bury v Lowestoft & Tooting v Kingstonian) have been speedily rearranged for tomorrow afternoon. Shame this wasn't possible with some of today's CCL Prem games. I'm guessing nothing has been rearranged for Thursday?

in this economic climate hardly suprising really,as gates for the re-arranged Matches on a cold January night, would probably attract lesser crowds.Clubs at C.C.L. Level have not had a home game for over a Month, must be feeling the pinch,so lets wait till the 3rd Jan.because its the done thing. Then cram as many games in so the Season finishes on Time, because the F.A.direct it should be,maybe the F.A. should extend the season now, makes sense to me. But just remembered they do not venture out into the Real World.

The season's scheduled to end on Easter Monday I think so, as with last year, there is scope to use the following four day bank holiday weekend to play another couple of matches if needed. In fact, games on Friday 29th would be a welcome diversion for some of us not particularly interested in a certain wedding on that day ;)

No game for us. Only three clubs responded, one has a potential SSC game, one was honest enough to say it had too many players unavailable which was fair enough and one was just abusive! No one can complain when we end up playing games every 48 hours in April! Also I'm sure we could have all done with the bigger revenue that this weeks holiday games would have generated but there you go, we look forward to hopefully next Bank holiday Mondays game

I can confirm that this will kick off at 11.30am tomorrow at The Orchard! The game was in doubt and 2pm was suggested and then apparently agreed by the Hayes Gate manager. Our chairman called all officials, the league and players to inform them of the change and get the green light (which we did), but when he called Hayes Gate back to say it's good to go they changed their mind and said it wasn't suitable. Therefore being switched back to an 11.30 kick off!

I'm sure Nut has got the surface in tip top shape as it has been and touch wood the rain doesn't get too heavy (currently lashing down in Weybridge) and tomorrows local derby is a fiesty, old fashioned game of football with plenty of handbags and goals, then to shake hands and have a drink in the bar after!!

could of done without the overnight rain to be honest , but a pitch is there to be played on and my job is to get it back to normal when you finish , so wattsy make sure the boys all wear slippers and tiptoe around the pitch , and definately no sliding tackles ,

cant wait for our next game seems like months since we played , in fact cant wait to do some pitch work seems like months also since i have had the mower out .

mylo can you confirm K O time, as green pea is not often wrong. and i dont want to turn up before the teams or after the gamecoffee%20%282%29.gif

I'm blaming Whitelaw :) - "we would hope that some matches at least will be able to go ahead, with one club (Feltham) having already agreed with their opponents, to put their kick-off back to 2.00 p.m."

Have some clubs been a bit hasty in calling off their fixtures the day before given last night's rain?
