The game scheduled for today (Mon 27th) has been agreed and rearranged for this Thursday 30th with a 7.45pm kick off. With the weather expected to take a significant turn for the better in the coming days, we are confident we'll get the game on.

worryingly their appears a lot of fog in the Beaconsfield area, so even if the snow has melted (i assume it must have by now) we may have as Mark said water and now also fog to contend with

The team of 1923 would be out their playing with shovels for the snow in one hand and buckets for the water in the other with candles on their flat caps to see their way through a real pea souper!

 

Or we should call the rest of the games this season off just in case a meteor might hit Holloways Park some time in the next 6 billion years!

A nice straightforward 6-4 win then!

3-0 down after 20 minutes then turned it around to 6-3 bfore they scored a fourth with the last kick of the game.

 

We had a new keeper today (apparently from a lower league) who was not the best.

 

scorers: Swift, Coyne, Burnell (4)

 

Swift scored a beatifully driven freekick which surprised everyone as we all thought he was going to curl it into the opposite post.

 

My MotM was Simon Martin who set up many chances and i think set up 4 of the 6 goals.

 

It also seems that the ref had forgotten his cards at home as we didnt see them at all during the game, though he should have shown some.
