Thursday 30th Dec Games?

Recommended Posts

Having not played a League game for sometime Whitelaw has written to all League Clubs stating that we can arrange a game for Thursday 30th Dec. The date potentailly works as Clubs dont play again until the following Bank Holiday Monday and it looks like most of us will struggle to get this Mondays games on as the expected thaw will come too late. From our perspective we want to get back to playing as soon as possible as week after week without football is driving me mad for starters! The choice is to try and get in League games when we sensibly can or take the risk of playing Sat, Tues, Thurs , Sat like Badshot Lea had to do last season especially as we have yet to even hit the worst traditional time of year weather!! Anyway if any Premier Division Club wishes to bring forward a date to play Chertsey either home or away on Thursday 30th please contact us either through the website here or by the usual routes. Obviously we will then get the match formally approved by the CCL. We dont care who we play but would just like to get back playing football as soon as possible!

Happy Christmas everyone!

Will the Surrey Cup not impede many Clubs from doing this,as I understood they took priority, well in Surrey F.A.s eyes anyway. Is there no way that Monday's Fixtures could not be given an either or Tuesday date with same Officials,as it looks like weather going to change then.

Most of the dates have been fixed for the Surrey Senior Cup - http://www.nonleague.co.uk/info/article/2406-surrey-senior-cup-2010-11-season-fixtures-results/

The problem with playing on Tuesday is the short notice for all parties. However we just want to play football and are open to play either day as we will be training , weather permitting, anyway-we just want to get back to playing football. The Surrey Cups do take priority but as Ian states none are arranged for next week to our knowledge

Great idea to get them on....why not arrange now as most will be in doubt already early next week.........................
