Concorde nearly lost Heale!

Through sources Danny Healey signed for Wakering last Thursday only for him to go back the next day due to being offered more money by Concorde.

Also Alan Hull (Wakering manager) was sent an email from someone at Concorde with a picture of Danny in action for concorde with "hands off" below the pic!

the truth is he is not that good. in fact the amount of quality strikers in our league is shocking. you could count the quality strikers on one hand!

I disagree with you there [***!!***] head, i think Danny is a good player who could easily play higher than the ESL, it proves that by the amount of goals he has scored already.

 

I think Wakering would have been a good club for him to progress!

He is one of the better strikers in the league but best of a bad bunch. But only seen him a few times, maybe he just had an off day on sat! I see him play in an attacking midfield role before and he looked more dangerous there.

 

Wakering would be a good move for any player in our league as they are in a better division.

 

Who is the left midfielder for Basildon? He looked a good player when we played basildon.

Danny is a better midfielder, ive never seen him play up front to be honest.

He was like a crab on saturday just kept going back and forth across the park with no penetration, thats why Rangers lost, no doubt he has a good left foot but i couldnt see hwy he has scored 10 goals so far on that performance

I cant remember if he was the captain, may have been. Quite tall and about 22,23. Left wing back i think. Caused us quite a few probs. We were poor that day, I think your lot had an off day to. Lots of possesion but didnt really create. Had a little bloke who scored the goal who was also useful.

 

With Regards to Danny, yeah your right he kept dropping into the midfield. Has done well to get 10 goals already! Going to be tight this year. We have played nearly all the top sides now. The weakest one being Ilford! They were much better last year.

Didn't know Heale was available - maybe Town should take a closer look?

Danny Heale has pedigree - and that goes for a lot ... Dad, Billy, was one of the great Canvey players of all time. Both have given us old lags plenty of entertainment over the years - long may it continue, hopefully in the EESL !

nah mate, the indie singer has gone to Hertford!

He was quite a good player but did not really fit into the system. He is scoring goals at Hertford though.

 

Thats what I thought that with the players they signed thay would be much better. That Matt West who played centre mid for Barkingside last season was one of the best players we played against. I think that they think they are like Real Madrid of our league!

Ive heard you guys have improved and have a very young squad, can only be good for the players at that age to be getting good 1st team experience.

 

Was you at your last game of the season against manor when you beat us 4-1 was it and you had 3 men sent off, what a game!

Mick your right it is fish and chip paper but a game I will never forget!

 

We went 1 up early on, then on about 15 mins you equalised. On 25 mins a big scuffle broke out and one of our players got sent off. Straight after that the ref sent 2 more off for verbal! Went in at half time 1-1. The manager said we were to go to a 4-3-0 formation! He said every time you get the ball just hit the corners. Our indie striker then got a brace early on. Your manager had been giving him plenty of stick so to celebrate making it 3-1 he threw the ball at him and got sent off! We played last 20 with 7!

 

Two things will stick with me from that game, one of our players had a corner whilst 3-1 up and coz we couldnt push anyone forward he turned round the other way and booted it into the next field for a throw! The next was 1 of your players shouting "how are we not beating these mugs!" your manager flew out the dug out and screamed at him "they only have 7 men your the F***ing MUGS!"

Yeah mick our side is younger than last season! Our oldest player is 24, im next at 21!

 

Your right good for evryone as long as we stay together. Canvey Island have taken a couple from last year. They were only 16 but playing well in reserves and u18's. One of them Jason Hallet scored 80+ goals last season.

 

See Romford lost 3-2 to Ruslip manor in London Senior cup. We got Haringey Borough tonight in same comp.
