I was talking to a Chelsea fan at the EFM wedding on Saturday, and he took great delight in telling me how Chelsea will win the league every season for the next ten years now they have this rich Russian fella in charge.

 

HOW NAIVE!!

 

I will say now, that I doubt very much they will win it even once!

 

It doesn't matter how much money any other club puts into strengthening their teams. Over the next ten years, Man Utd will win the title eight times, and Arsenal will probably win it twice. No other side will come close.

 

Money will not buy Chelsea success. I am convinced of it.

 

(Mind you, they'll doubtless thrash Spurs at the weekend!)

mmm im not so sure i can see the [****!!****] running into money problems and man u are a product of fergurson.. its time for a change at the top i'd like to see em both stuck mid table, tho with man u's revenue thats unlikely.. but things always change....

people say money doesn't buy success, but when you look at Blackburn and Real Madrid (and Man U to a certain degree) normally it does eventually!

Well Blackburn haven't exactly had long-term success. They won the league once, and were relegated three years later.

 

Real Madrid and Man Utd were massive teams 50 years ago, so any correlation between them and Chelsea is a bit hit-and-miss.

 

I can't see Chelsea winning more than a handful of domestic cups.

Well Blackburns team split up after the title (Shearer to Newcastle etc) and Walker popped his clogs!

 

I can see Chelsea doing it, they seem to of gelled pretty quickly
