all too average to comment on apart from the following

1. campbell hhahahahhaaaa

2. james hhooohohohhoooo

3. cole just fking play him as left wing and get a left back in

4. beckham (nd this hurts cos i still havnt forgiven him for getting sent off against the argies) was good and more importantly took loads of crap and tried his nuts off

5. what was the corner flag bit at the end all about.. i expect to see sutton do something like that in the ryman but not in a fking international

but apart from all that, the big issue is what happened to their goalie for rooneys goal.. i could have got a hand to that.. i wouldnt be surprised to see that keeper turn up at dover soon with the keys to a shiny rover metro and a flat in ashford.. all very suspicious <img src="/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" />

Well it started with the crowd booing our national anthem and the local camera crew showing them burning our flag, just to set the scene. Thoughout the game, everytime Cambell, and later Heskey, go the ball, there were monkey noises. There was a scuffle in the crowd.

During the closing minutes, Becks took a series of corners and throw-ins which he gave to Heskey in the corner. It lasted about 3 minutes.

an alternative match report

>>Got back to our resort from Macedonia at 10am this morning - what a fantastic trip! No numpties, shirts or painted faces - great bunch of people there and one of the best England trips I've been on.

Jumped on a coach from a resort not far from ours that Flight Options were running. 100 of us travelled all together, with a police escort from the resort. Got to the border of Greece/Macedonia to be met by our NCIS friends and the local OB. No grief at the border at all, except for picking the tickets up. We were only going to be let into Macedonia by their OB if we had tickets. The guy we were buying the tickets off panicked at the sight of the local OB and denied having the tickets. It was like something out of a Carry On film. He finally admitted to having the tickets, but then said they were in the boot of his car, which was parked a mile away. The OB actually gave him a lift to go and get them. Tickets sorted and the three coached departed along with the 2nd part of the police escort all the way to Skopje.

Arrived at Skopje to be met by more OB and NCIS guys. We were joined here by a coach that had come from Sofia (who had taken 3 hours to get across the border due to all being photographed by the OB). The OB wouldn't let us get off the coaches to go to the boozer that had been arranged and took us all straight to the stadium. Originally thought that we were going to be put in the ground at 3.30, but they put us in a little boozer opposite the stadium.

A Millwall geezer and his Missus went into the ground early to put their flag up and were promptly attacked by some of the locals, which ended up with both of them and a Macodonian being taken to the local OB station, but released and coming back to watch the match.

We went over to the ground about 45 minutes before kick-off and there were a few English outside debating whether to go in or not as it had been booting off in the ground and it was a bit moody. There was a bit of scuffling - mainly with the locals and OB. The locals were just intent on taking down the English flags and got hold of a Villa one and later burnt it ([***!!***]). Even the F.A. reps were shaking their heads in disgust.

About 10 minutes before kick-off the Macedonian OB cleared the first 2 blocks in the West Stand and thats where the majority of the English were. There were a few others in the East and North (main) Stand. I would estimate that there were about 500 tops (including 3 girlies in the West Stand and 1 in the East Stand).

Not much hassle in the ground, just great banter. For once the OB actually gave the locals more grief than us, dishing out the odd slap when they got too mouthy. They had to walk past the front of the England section to get to the toilets. Everyone of them was ridiculed by the England fans. The humour from the English was superb - as the Macedonians were dressed like something out of the 70's. Skin heads, braces, crazy hairstyles and a big black banner that said 'SKINHEADS'.

Rooney and Beckham were superb ambassadors for the team and came running over to us all when they scored.

At the end of the game with 5 minutes to go, the local OB came over to us all and announced that we must go on the pitch at the end of game, before they let the home fans out. Bloody hell you get banned for that at home. At the end of the match we were all bundled out onto the side of the pitch, where we had an impromptu disco and dodged the coins and bottles being chucked over the fence. Got kept in the ground about 45 minutes and our coaches were waiting outside.

Again the longest police escort ever ensued. Our coach driver nearly killed us on a half a dozen occassions, by falling asleep, taking corners at about 100 miles an hour. I'm sure we had the coach driver out of the Italian job as he nearly drove the police car off the road a few times.

Arrived back at the resort at 3.30am and had a few celebratory drinks until 7.00am.

Respect to Flight Options and all the English who made the trip and made it so memorable. (You really did have to be there to appreciate all the banter).

To everyone who sang 'You can stick your f@$cking F.A. up your [****!!****]' I'm sure they heard it.
