Calling a WGC game 'dead rubber' oh dear Rhides is that because they gave u a second hand bog brush instead of a brand new one in your short stay at the club haha

No linesman dont have to change, I actually think its fair on both sides if they dont as if you get a bad one then its only for one half!

My words were 'always seems to surround you when you Officiate', I can give 101 examples such as Willo the Cat's controversial sending off after only four minutes when Kentish Town played Stony Stratford in 2007/2008 and when you caused a stir at Market Road by dismissing Tommy Kanaris in an Islington Midweek League game.

Your memory seems to be failing you.

Willo the Cat's dismissal in the match that you mention was on the say so of the other Assistant Referee. Nothing to do with me.

Mr Kanaris' send off in the Islington Midweek League is not SSML.

You have yet to give one example.

You must try harder, Cliff or is that it?

I assume by your reluctance to answer the question that you have given up.

I think it was Cheshunt Reserves.

From what I recall the two decisions that resulted in Cheshunt goals were so diabolical that you Officiated on the far side of the pitch for both halves when you sheepishly returned to the Copthall Stadium later in the season for the infamous Stony Stratford Town fixture. I didn't think that was allowed as don't Linesman have to change sides during a game.

In your opinion they were diabolical.

In my opinion, and the opinion of the other match officials, they were correct.

As for the Stony Stratford Town game, I was on the far side because that is where the Referee asked to be.

I have since been back to Kentish Town and stood bench side.

As for staying with the same defense throughout the game, that is a decision of the Referee.

It's also fair on the Assistant Referees as they only get a bad defense for one half.

Actually I beg to differ, you arrived at the Copthall Stadium that afternoon like a rabitt caught in the headlights and were clearly running scared, I'm sure you had made an arrangement with the Referee that day to remain on the far side of the pitch throughout in order to stay out of earshot from the home bench

So you are banned by the SSML from being associated with any of the Clubs.

Thanks for confirming.

Where did I say that, I think your eyesight may be failing you and it highlights the controversy that always seems to surround you when you Officiate

Really?

Do highlight.

Oh Pete, don't take his prat ishness to heart, Rhodes couldn't find his ar se with both hands let alone prove any of his stupid statements.

Pretty bold statement even for Rhodes.

As you cannot back up your statement, will you admit that you are wrong?

You really are struggling if that is the best that you have to offer. Must try harder.

P.S. You need to check your spelling. It's 'rabbit' not 'rabitt'. Must try even harder.

Thanks for the spelling lesson however you're straying away from the fact that you were running scared that afternoon, I saw it in your eyes when you arrived at the Copthall Stadium as, if you recall, I welcomed you at the reception area and ushered you towards the dressing rooms

The only "running" I did on the day was along the touch line.

Now, will you back up your own statement with examples from all of my games?

Rhodes - You have got some work to do to try and find pete the greek wrong in any decision on a game in the SSMFL! You should face that you have dug yourself a deep hole and you can't get out of it smilewinkgrin.gif

Jk146 - I assume that you are 'Sugar' posting under another name or George Kilikita or Graham Bint. I didn't say that he was a poor Official but controversy just seems to follow him around everywhere he goes that's all

And yet you've still been dodging providing any evidence. It must be fair to say that you are mistaken or in some way attempting to slur a reputation.

Loosely - I'm not trying to slur anybody's reputation, where did you get that impression from as I've just said that I don't think he is a poor Official, I've certainly seen far worse in over 45 years of watching football

But you clearly have a problem with him. I have seen games when he officiated, without any contoversy whatsoever. I have seen games where I, as an unqualified person sitting 60 yards away in the stand, have not agreed with something he's done. I think I could say the same about every other match official I've ever seen!

Horace - Not at all, why would I have, like I said he's just prone to error like everyone else, we're only human afterall. Take Howard Webb in the World Cup Final, that was the most shocking exhibition of Refereeing I've ever witnessed and that was the biggest football stage on earth, hardly Creasey Park, Chalk Lane, Second Meadow or Reynolds Field.

To quote you Rhodes - "controversy that always seems to surround you when you Officiate".

Since you cannot back up that statement, I and others can only assume that you have an issue with me. If I am wrong then give examples from all of my games. If I am correct then be big enough to retract your statement.

I have answered questions or statements that you have made about me on this forum. Whether you agree with those answers or not is your prerogative.

I agree with Horace's post. I will make mistakes like all match officials and all players do from time to time.

But for you to state that controversy always follows me around clearly shows shows that you have a problem with me.
