MMIM, people like you really hack me off. I'm all for a bit of banter and jibes at each other. However, sometimes there are serious issues that arise and this is one of them. MIM had the decency to apologise for some rather unfair remarks that caused offence. You just think it's funny to poke fun at absolutiey anything you want to. You need to grow up and distinguish the difference between fun and micky taking and insults.

Oh f*** me you really are sad. I said bore off because just in case you didnt notice this is football web site not save the sodding spastics or help the aged . If you wanna talk about that go in the off topic section. As for me growing up , your little quote of "why dont you eat s*** and p*** off back to the hole you came from " is old school playground talk . Now fella if you cant handle me just saying the two words "BORE" and "OFF" and have to resort to little swearing rants then why bother posting on here. Whatevers next "My dad can beat your dad up" . Pathetic excuse for a football supporter

But surely football is such an all encompassing sport that spastics and aged people are involved in it, by supporting their clubs, or perhaps having played for clubs in the past.

Also, the initial remark, which has since been retracted, was brought to this thread by someone other than Mr Happy, so he was merely replying to that post.

As for your choice of language, I couldn't give a hoot.

Here here, there are plenty of people with disabiities who love our national game so there is relevance in what is being discussed here. My daughter just happens to be a 'spastic' and enjoys coming to see Town play from time to time. I also have a six-year old nephew who uses a wheelchair who is football crazy (apart from thwe fact that he supports Arsenal!!!) so much so that he was at the England match last night.

It's people like MMIM who seem to think that football is for big tough blokes only. He's obviously living in the 70s because we've all moved on from there. Footie is for all, regardless of sex, ability, race or religion.

OK rant over and I refuse to respond to any more pathetic jibes from Neanderthals. Back to work, I've got money to make!!!

The England team for people with learning disabilities is managed by old Romford Manager Lyndon Lynch. Football is and should be for all, and those players should be rightly proud of their winners medals. We all have things we are not very good at. I believe SCOPE do not use the term Spastic anymore. I also think there are other ways to wind ETFC or anyone else if you so desire to without targeting a group who may or may not have access to reply. Fair play to MIM for his apology.

I would just like to point out that there is no evidence that Homo neanderthalensis (neanderthals) were stupid, ungainly or slow. This misconception is a hangover from the racist/imperialist values of the 19th century.

There is firm evidence that neanderthals made intricate tools, cared for their sick, injured and elderly, and buried their dead carefully and with dignity. Opinion varies on the extent of the speech capability of the species, and some authorities support the theory that they interbred with Homo sapiens (us). This is highly controversial at present however.

Therefore it is not appropriate to use the term "neanderthal" in a derogatory manner or to suggest stupidity.

Well, I thought I'd join in.
