Mick, much as one shouldn't wish ill on others, I wish you could experience having some disabilty or experience having a member of your family with some form of physical or learning disabilty, just for enough time to teach you not to mock people like these. The England football team for indiviudals with learning difficulties should be an inspiration to others who are not fortunate enough to be 'normal' like you or I. They have risen above their disabilty and have certainly achieved more in their sporting careers than you ever will.

Very well said Mr Happy. Having a learning disability does not mean someone is thick or a retard. Many people with disabilities go on to achieve prominence in sport and many other walks of life. My only criticism of your post is the use of the word "normal". What constitutes "normal"? I would argue that MIM is far from "normal"!

Mr Happy put the word normal in inverted commas, so I think he was using it to suggest that some people have a different opinion of what is normal to others.

For example, a homophobic person thinks it's normal to hate gay people. An intelligent person does not.
