A new look Croydon side played Colliers Wood of the Park in the 1st half of this game,but it could of been oh so different.In the first 2 mins Croydon Goalkeeper Francis Ameyah upended a Colliers forward in the box,and being the last man would of seen red,but the Linesman had his flag up for Offside.Croydon strolled into a 3-1 half time lead,playing some attractive football.In the 2nd half Colliers did all the pressing against a tiring Croydon outfit,but succumbed to a breakaway goal 4-1.Must say from a personal point of view,Coliiers missed livewire JIMMY (GINGER) DAVIES who has i am led to believe is no longer at the CLUB.HILARY ACHENUI WAS AN OUTSTANDING REFEREE,ABLY ASSISTED BY 2 GOOD ASSISTANTS.

Nice Guy,there were so many new faces playing for Croydon,Dixon had not let the grass grow under his feet over xmas,but 2 scorers who I did know were Aaron Smith,Martin Smith.Jimmy Davies is how you describe him,not sure he has gone anywhere yet.Think he has gone a.w.o.l.WHO DID YOU GRACE WITH YOUR PRESENCE,OR WHERE YOU COSY INDOORS,WITH HER INDOORS.

I WENT TO SEE CHERTSEY SURPRISINGLY GET BEAT AT HANWORTH VILLA THEN QUICKLY DASHED TO SEE MOLESEY BEAT SUTTON IN THE SURREY SENIOR CUP.- GOOD GAME - CROYDON HAVING NEW FACES....... WHAT MORE !!!
