Made the effort to get to the game on frosty night only to watch a Billericay team iced-up and stutter to play, one or two players seemed to have a go, but Harrow were going for everything and pressurising whenever we had possession, forcing mistakes, making the end result a little flattering !!! we need to make the most of the two league home games we now have and get back in the top 5 for Christmas, and I really hope to see a big improvement on Saturday (game-on weather permitting).

 

We've had a terrific run till now, up to third, but a couple of postponements and two losses and we're down to ninth in just two games, however this is still the best performance we have had in the last four seasons, lets just get-in-there...

Got to take your hat off to Harrow Borough - they out paced us; out passed us, out muscled us, and when we outnumbered them for the final 25, they still looked comfortable. Certainly, 3-1 didn't flatter them and Rocky Baptiste showed why he is still a quality player at this level.

 

Another erratic referee but unfortunately we cannot blame him or the frosty pitch.

 

Well done to the 165 who turned up and shame on those who stayed in to watch Holby City !!!!!!

A very disappointing crowd, but those who did turn up were entertained with some good football, and for those who didn't enjoy what was on show, well, they entertained themselves... and kept pretty warm too.....

 

One big positive for us was to have Flanagan back, He looked in excellent form when he came on and if the other lads can match his level on Saturday then I reckon it will be a corker of a game.

 

I was disappointed with our performance over the last two games but we are so far in front of where we have been over the previous few seasons, I'm far from despondent, and am looking forward to this Saturdays afternoon and evening's entertainment.

Fair play to the ref for getting the game on. He's obviously old school and believes, the show must go on!

Not the best Blues performance but glass still half full . I think this season (the way the weather is panning out) will provide possibly a few shocks...All teams will have a very hectic 2011 especially if the snow hits this weekend and the customary ice over Christmas period will see teams playing a massive catch up and the ones who will be there or there-abouts will be the ones who can cope. On the showing of Harrow last night then they certainly looked good .

 

Two defeats does not make the team bad , and i would say our best form of defence is to attack , which unfourtunately last night we did not look like we had come out from the starting blocks .

 

Onwards to 2011 !!! As that could be the next time all the teams in our league re-convene ! Godam weather !

It was a poor performance and Harrow deserved their victory. But a return to pre snow fall performances and a playoff push should hopefully remain on the cards. If the weather does force another break lets hope that they return in better form. Interesting game being played on what by the end must have been closer to ice rink then football pitch.
