Chertsey 3.4 tooting (aet)

Chertsey take 2.0 lead through a phil page double and look comfortable but 2 quick goals get tooting level, tooting then take lead in extra time only for a Matt Baxter header to get Chertsey level, and so to penalties or so we throught, tooting nick tie with last kick of game!

Went to Epsom & Ewell v St Neots. St Neots were a very good side, as expected and dominated more or less throughout. Dave Stevens gave E's the lead in the first half in more or less their first attack. Lovely finish though. St Neots equalised just before half time and wrapped it up midway through the second half. They could have added one or two more afterwards too. Bitterly cold night, wonder if that'll be the last live football I see before Christmas?!

The Meadowbank lights were on tonight, so wonder if Bookham v Croydon was played? So much for my prediction of no games at Meadowbank this year!

Believe Hartley Wintney lost 7-1 to Basingstoke tonight too.

was funny tho when after the referee made a decision all you saw around the ground was notepads being open & written in

Fair result i thought. Sandhurst got off to a cracking start with an excellent freekick after 2mins, we got back into the game & levelled midway into the half. 2nd half it flowed from end to end with both sides having chances to nick it

Sandhurst 1 Ash 1

There were more assesors than players!

South Park 3-2 Sheerwater

After 6-0 and 7-1 league wins, it was a typical cup tie end to end stuff and some fiesty tackles to add. Park scored just before half time and had enough chances to win 3 games but to give credit to Sheerwater they never gave up and went 2-1 up after a comical defending for both there goals. Park eqaulised with 15 to go and got the winner minutes from time. Best team won, but can see Sheerwater climbing the league if they play like that every week.

It was interesting hearing some of them discuss certain incidents such as when the Ash 10 push the Sandhurst 3 over. One assessor said that the Ash 13 should be dismissed, and they say referee's are not blind!

Chuckle of the night, Sandhurst get a free kick inside their own area, goalie plays it short to the full back who touches the ball before it goes out of the area. Referee blows whistle to get the kick re-taken cue the full back shouting 'it does not have to go out of the area when it is a free kick'.

hanworth 1 camberley 3 game spoilt by overly fussy ref. not with his decisions, but his pettiness. game held up while he made camberly change socks. could not just talk to a player he insisted in walking player to touchline. score could have been 7or 8

but for the hanworth keeper.coffee%20%282%29.gif

Epsom and Ewell 1 St Neots Town 2

We lost but I'm very proud of our teams battling performance against a very good St Neots side . Having taken the lead through a Dave Stevens strike on 21 mins .We created a couple of other half chances but defended really well against high scoring opponents. If we could have just got to half time ahead it might have made it really interetsting to see how long they went before getting desperate . The 41st minute equaliser effectively decided the tie. St Neots effectively had us under siege for most of the second half but superb defending ,interceptions and blocks kept them down to 1 more goal and a few other chances , Just a pity the game couldn't have been played on the Saturday to get a bigger crowd in .

St Neots will go far (as long as the money lasts) but we gave them a really good game. Getting ready for the midwinter break part 2 now,
