Well, what can you say. That was a very comfortable win, we dominated from start to end and never looked like losing. Jake's goal has got to be contender for goal of the season. Picks the ball up on the right wing, beats any player with the temerity to come near him before rifling a sot past the keeter into the top corner. Jake was on fire and was beating players at will. Robbo looked dangerous every time he got the ball, in fact every time we went forward we looked like we could score and it could easily have been twice the scoreline.

A few things, firstly there were more people there last night than there were for the first game, and even then 48 seems optimistic!! Robbo scored 4 goals, but could be considered lucky to be on the pitch after the "incident" that only the Hayes fan stood to our right appeared to have seen. Their defender on the floor clutching his face, Robbo looking as innocent as a Premier league player with blood on his elbow and neither the ref nor the lino saw anything (otherwise he would have got a red as it was off the ball surely?!?!?) cue the officials discuss for a bit and a yellow card produced. I thought the officals were poor, our penalty, well you would be disappointed if it was given against you that's for sure and generally got quite a lot wrong.

Their keeper was good value and I thought other than a few challenges the game didn't degenerate into a kicking match and we didn't pick up any injuries so fair play to Hayes for that.

 

But ultimately we were just too good, and there were late challenges but mostly because they just couldn't get to the ball, I also thought it was cruel bringing on Chenns and Pearce to an already destroyed opponent.
