Why is our Home Form so poor?

As the season progresses and the question of the likelihood of our reaching the playoffs is further discussed, the question of our appalling home form raises a big questionmark. To recap, No team in our league has lost more home games and only 3 have scored fewer home points. At first I thought maybe we had been unlucky and played a disproportionate number of the better teams but the opposite is true Only 3 of the teams we have played so far currently have a single figure league place We have mostly lost points to the basement teams so some tough home games are still to come .The pitch is better than last year and is the same for both teams anyway One thing is certain imo. We cant continue to shed home points and reach the playoffs Does anyone have any idea why the Rebels cant deliver at home?

The pitch can't be used as an excuse for poor home form. We have the advantage of playing on it regularly and therefore should grow accustomed to it. Whilst it doesn't suit some our best players we should still be able to develop a game plan. The pitch is the same for both sides and most teams will have played at SYCOB so know what to expect and adjust accordingly.

Whilst Woody was being facetious there may be a crowd element to it. We do have a tendancy to rile the opposition - it can't be a coincidence that every side that beats us or gets a draw celebrates as if they have just won the league and we also have a tendancy to go a bit quiet when things aren't going our way.

Ultimately I think the real reason is we have an attack minded side that is more likely to go for a second and third goal than to hold onto what we've got which then leaves us exposed late on. Against Bedfont we seemed to start to get nervy in the last 15 uncertain of whether to go for the killer second goal or hold on and in the end we managed neither.
