I made my second away Hornchurch trip for eighteen years last Saturday, the first being Great Wakering away last season. I have been told that George Borg ALWAYS sits in the stands at Billericay (by my Grays-supporting brother-in-law, whether it has something to do woth a poor view or not I couldn't possibly comment on.

 

Billericay were lucky - but not in a footballing sense. My nephew, seven years old, is a Billericay fan (when he's not supporting England, West Ham or Liverpool) and this was his second Billericay game...and his second Hornchurch game.

His record is impressive for Billericay, and a jinx for Urchins.

 

Billericay 4 Grays 1 (last season)

Hornchurch 0 Marlow 3 (three goals from three corners)

Billericay 2 Hornchurch 0

 

I suggest Billericay sign him up!

 

On a footballing point Urchins conceded another goal from a corner. It seems that when I go to see Hornchurch play they are conceding goals from corners! Has anybody else noticed this?
