Billericay Town 2 Hornchurch 0

I guess we can all feel a little hard done by today, but none more than Vinnie John. In the first half alone he hit the post, was clearly pulled back after beating the last defender only to see the referee wave play-on, and had a close range header blocked on the line. We shaded the first half but were met with a resolute Billericay defence.

We started well in the second half and Jamie Southon nearly got his name on the scoresheet when a cross drifted towards goal and had to be tipped over by home keeper Jerome John. It all went wrong in the 13th minute when the referee awarded a harsh penalty to Billericay, which was converted by Danny Hockton. Danny Cowley and new signing Andy Douglas replaced Scott Gooding and Andrew Martin at the restart and Douglas found the net 10 minutes later only for it to be ruled out due to an earlier infringement. Keeper Daniel Gay played an unfortunate part in Billericay's second goal in the last 5 minutes. He failed to hold on to a swung in corner and the loose ball was duly despatched by Russell Penn to secure the points.

Line-up:- Gay, Gooding (Cowley 58), J Martin, Adededji, West, Southon, Keeling, Sterling, John, A Martin (Douglas 58), McGowan. Subs not used:- Findlay, Sorhaindo, Collier (GK)

Yeah but it wasn't confirmed by Offical !

If they have gone I can't see the point in letting two central Defenders go so we now have 3(4 at a push) but have 3 Left backs in the squad,

Maybe it's just me but i'm confused

Yeah But He Didn't Deny It Either Did He !

Official Said:

"yes there are players leaving who were 'heros' last year...football is full of 'yesterdays heros'....fine players...fine people and I personally will miss them and they will always be welcome at our club...but this is the premier league and GB is the manager and we must all support him...as we supported MM last year..."

Wat Do You Think !

mmmm... Missed that bit sounds like they have gone, The best of luck to the both of them. On the bright side hopefully Mooro will get his chance now.

I do agree with the last bit we all must stand behined George, he is a top quality manager who has proved his quality at other clubs and i have full confidence that he will to it at "The Urchins".
