Detective Work Part 5

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I know some of you think I am a fraudster. Others think I am not who I say I am. Whatever you believe is up to you. I can confirm I am Mark Hoffman, 47 years old from the Grays/Thurrock area.

Some of the stuff I have written is tongue in cheek. Other stuff is factual information I have presented slightly tongue in cheek.

Today's rumour is 100% accurate fact. A new source has approached me with this information and I believe this information 100%.

Moneybags Witham Town, the team/club that think too much of themselves, are paying ludicrous amounts of money to try to secure promotion to the Ryman league.

This includes £150 a week to loanee Chelmsford GK Ashley Harrison. Cash in hand and per game. Massive money for a GK. That must mean their overall budget is closer to £2000 per week.

The truth is out there.

that ( that one 150 quid wage !!) would get you 5/6 players in our team Gaffa . Questions have got to be asked of Witham if they are not thumping teams with that budget !!

wooow so your saying that with a budget of 2000 a week would only get 6 players from wakering did not think you lot had a big budget, but for ESL 2000 is a lot of money and your right questions would need to be asked has to why there not smashing teams, but then again there in a good postion in the league, and still in the vase.

Yeah i reckon that would definitely be the highest budget in Div 1 north , maybe only 1/2 teams are around that mark. Harlow / Needham , wingate at a push

Witham need to back up in performances what they are shelling out !

Having a big budget doesn't necessarily mean instant success. Romford won the ESL in spectacular fashion a couple of seasons ago with a zero budget, and now have the meanest defence in English senior football, and look a very good bet to achieve their second promotion in three years, even though we still don't have the money to pay our players.

A great manager and a good team spirit amongst talented players is far more important than mega bucks as we have proved time and time again.

i have a very good idea of withams budget and this estimate is way out,i know this as im in the loop unlike mark hoffman who has as many contacts in the ESL as he has friends on facebook -none,rather ironic that he made this post as someone who has recently left fans focus is good friends with Ashleys parents,i also know Ashley as he played for Basildons youth team against Chelsea in FA Youth Cup,Hoffman would have known this if only he was in the loop.

Is that before or after we put 4 past them with only half our regular first team players playing? Totally outplayed them, personally think the top 4-5 teams in ESL would do ok in Ryman 1N.

By the way our budget is F**k all.

The meanest defence in English senior football statistic applies to league matches only.

I personally didn't think Stanstead outplayed us, and to be fair Romford put out a team of mainly reserves and trialists. Stanstead though were worthy winners on the night, and fully deserved to progress in a cup competition that Romford possibly considered unimportant in comparison to promotion the the RPL.

Stansted now play at Bodmin Town ( only one League defeat ) on 22nd January who beat Plymouth Parkway 3-1 away from home today. I appreciate that this is a personal opinion but they need to be very careful over their planning for this game as the South West Peninsular League may well be Step 6 but is very strong and many of the clubs that play in it choose to stay rather than aspire to the Western League as travelling from and to Cornwall is a very onerous and expensive task - ask anyone who plays Truro City !
