Maybe we are getting punished down the flanks, becasue we have no wingers to drop back and cover.

 

Matty has moved in, behind the front 2, which is great for the midfiels and supporting the front; but leaves the left exposed, as happened on Saturday.

 

Even more of a problem when MN goes off to Uni, and will only be available on a limited basis

Ok I'll bite.

 

I was at the game. You weren't. Apart from the four goals gifted to them by our so-called defence how many chances did Basildon create? I'll tell you - none. If you don't believe me ask Mr Bacardi.

 

As a player you must have left the field on numerous occasions thinking 'how the f*** did we lose/win/draw that one?' The score doesn't always tell the full story. This was one of those occasions.

Agreed i wasnt there but i read the score how it reads and whatever excuses you make, you conceded 4 and Basildon only the the 1!

 

Barcardi what is your view on this?

Let him enjoy it - they won. We will just have to make sure the score line at Basildon is equally large in our favour.

i agree with tom s mick .goal's pay the rent .. but neil richmond finishing was of top quality !!!

 

but we have scored the most goals in the league and let in only 2 ...

Not totally convinced that you can play with wingers AND wingbacks! It would be a bit empty in the middle.....

Err, I'm confused! Cleggy and Andy are complaining that we DID play with 3 centre backs and two wingbacks, but you reckon we had none!

 

Recently we have used Steve Baldwin and Disco Dave as wingbacks, varying the 3 in the middle.

 

I gather Disco didn't play on Saturday, then. Is he injured?
