Winding-up order extension granted

The court today granted the club a further 56 days to present it's plans for the future and call a meeting of the creditors to arrange a CVA.

 

So the immediate danger is over but there's still a lot of hard work to be done before we can say the club is absolutely safe.

A major hurdle has indeed been successfully negotiated. Somebody up there likes this Club!

 

The pressure remains on, of course:-

If Dave,Byron and the Players keep the momentum going then we may be able to absorb the loss of points and retain the Premier Division status.

If the necessary majority of creditors agrees to the CVA then that's another major hurdle cleared.

If the momentum around the Club can be sustained then we could be facing a bright and exciting future, especially with a 3G surface to get income from.

The past week has been a hiatus of activity and goodwill. It proves how much passion there is about the Club.

Good news - anyone interested in local football must be pleased about this - you now have a boit of breathing space to get things sorted out. I wish you all the best in the hard work that will need to be done. We do not want to lose a team with the history of W & E, and hope that you will be around for many years.
