Stanway Rovers V Stansted

 

F.A.Vase 3rd round fixture now confirmed on the F.A website,now being played Saturday 11th December 2010 Kick-Off 15-00pm,and not Wednesday Night the 8th December 2010.

And if Witham Town get through to meet Bodmin Town then I suggest they get in touch with Tony Cross who took his Bowers United side there in 1997-98 but unfortunately were billited overnight in a most awful hotel that ruined all chances of the team being " up for it" and they went out 3-5.... he may remember the name so they can avoid it !

 

Fortunately I didn't suffer with them and managed to get a room in a guest house overlooking the ground which was absolutely perfect and despite the long journey from deepest Cornwall and dropping a player off in Bristol we were back in Pitsea just after midnight after a truly memorable trip that nearly went wrong during the outward journey on the M4 when the coach broke down and one of Tony's players managed to fix the troublesome part with a spoon from the Services Cafe - Oh I do love these F A Vase journeys !
