Leading questions, selective choice of what’s reported and a He said she said is not my favourite journalistic style, It’s not the most accurate piece either.

 

Yes we are very pleased that good players have chosen to join and/or stay, our players have had approaches from and/or had choices to join various clubs, Kersey for example had a choice of Three Ryman prem clubs, One BS South and One Ryman North Club, but only Concord was mentioned in the article. Is the same story with regards to other players’. When a good players become available CLUBS make contact, always have always will.

OK, OK... let me clear a couple of things up. First of all, the story was prompted by a conversation I had with Craig Edwards. There were no leading questions; I can assure you Craig knows exactly what he wants to say and I thought his comments would be of interest to both clubs. Danny Scopes, rightly, was given the chance to address Craig's comments.

 

As for the interest from other clubs in Kersey... well I can only say that I reserve our scant editorial space for our local teams.

 

If that's not Kersey in the picture please accept my apologies. It was marked up as him in our system. I'll launch an internal inquiry and leave no stone unturned until I find the culprit.

 

Oh, and if you take a little look at the white stuff still resting on the New Lodge pitch, you might get some idea as to why it has, indeed, been a painfully slow news week round here!

I thought James' article was OK. Fair to both parties & a reasonable attempt to fill some space on the subject of local non-league football during a lack of.. err.. local non-league football.

 

Attempting to present both managers views as containing an element of "needle" is just a device to make an otherwise uninteresting story a bit more readable.

Condsidering your some of your "facts" are usually wrong and from the evidence I can see are only interested in raking muck, I find you quite contemptable...

Dunno about that. Nothing wrong with promoting 'The Echo' if you work for them. You'd be failing in your job if you didn't.

I've no issue with promoting an article but, if memory serves, it's only promoted when there is an opinion expressed about another club.

Gazza, I propose a truce. For what it's worth, I value your opinion just as much as any other non-league fan, and you are fully entitled to that opinion.
