Having just read my Local Rag,interesting to find out that Croydon F.C. were deducted 1 point and fined £250 for failing to fulfill their fixture against Molesey.Has common sense prevailed here,who are the Winners and Losers.Taking into account that the League were notified a day before that the game would not be played,by Dixon Gill from his Hospital bed.Molesey lost nothing,Referees lost nothing,Winners C.C.L.Be interesting to see if Chobham lost points for not fulfilling their fixture against Knaphill and were fined accordingly.Likewise Hartley for not going to Hayes Gate,answers please Whitelaw.

HI SMUDGE, THIS DEBATE WILL FOREVER LAST UNTIL SOMETHING IS PUT DOWN IN STONE BY THE CCL THAT 3 POINTS + A SET FINE WILL BE SUBJECTED TO THE DEFAULT TEAM IN MY OPINION.

 

IT IS ALL TOO EASY TO CANCEL A GAME DUE TO PITCH DISCREPANCIES (CALLING GAMES OFF EARLY, PERSUADING REF'S TO CANCEL, I KNOW IT GOES ON),OR NOT BEING ABLE TO FIELD A TEAM AS AN EXCUSE FOR HAVING TOO MANY PLAYERS UNAVAILABLE ETC., THEN THE REVISED FIXTURE ALL THE BEST PLAYERS ARE BACK.

 

YES, FAIR THAT CROYDON WERE DEDUCTED 1 POINT WHICH WON'T MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE TO THEM OR FINE WHICH SHOULD HURT THE POCKET TO SOME EXTENT, BUT LOSING 3 POINTS WILL HURT ''ANY'' TEAM ESPECIALLY THOSE NEAR THE TOP AND BOTTOM, THAT WOULD CERTAINLY DETER SUCH ILL DOINGS.....
