Pitch inspection policy for this Saturday

For your info, message sent to clubs today

By agreement with the Chairman and the Referees' Secretary, the following procedure may take place with regard to Saturday's matches.

 

If, from Friday morning onwards, clubs feel there is no chance of their scheduled match going ahead, they are authorised to speak with their match referee and mutually agree to postpone the match on Friday, without the necessity of a physical pitch inspection, unless of course the match referee wishes for this to be done.

 

Postponements must then be notified in the normal way and a postponement form sent to me please.  The space for showing the name of the referee who carried out the pitch inspection can be left blank.

 

Come Saturday morning, if any games are going ahead, please let me know so that I can publicise them as they will probably attract a decent crowd!

 

This arrangement currently relates only to matches on Sat 4 December
