Seems it'll be Europe's turn again in 2030, I look forward to it, and hope I'm not too old at 84

Absolute joke, sends out completely the wrong message.

Russia is a corrupt nation which has been given the world cup by a corrupt organisation who say that they enter the spirit of fair play when their president openly admits diving is ok in football, part of the game apparently!!

It wasn't when we exported it all over the world you to$$er.

I suppose it is too much to ask for the words" plane crash and Sepp Blatter" to be front page tomorrow

That makes everything ok then Rob!! Bit like saying a bloke who only murders one person is not in the same league as Fred West, so it's all ok!!

Lets be honest, did you ever really think we were going to get it?? I hope not, as I didn't think you were that stupid!! Firstly, yes, there probably have been s

some "goings on" which have led to Russia getting it, but also the fact that within the football world we are not very well liked really, due to our own arrogance

and self obsession. Foreign people tell you they love the English game when there is money for them to make from us, but they don't mean it!!

We got 2 votes apparently!!! 2!!! Whether it was fixed or not for Russia, we are clearly not very popular!!

Arrogance or not,if you would of asked blatter twenty years ago who he would of wanted in the next few world cups they would be the same as the countries that actually got it

South Africa (how the he'll they got it with their crime rate I will never know, but they did actually do a good job to be honest)

Brazil ( great fiotballing country but their record on football hooliganism makes us look like a bunch of netballers)

Germany,last held it in 2006 & 1974 a gap of 32 years

Japan & south Korea,no real problems with holding it there but it would of come down to money as usual

1998 France.no problems with that

1994 USA do me a favour, they hate the fckng game

As I have said, perhaps russia deserve it because they have never held it before but personally it's because of money and I wouldn't mind betting a few million roubles are flying into a few FIFA delegates bank accounts as we speak

As for Qatar,do me a favour, that is the biggest insult of all

To add to that, since we last held the world cup Mexico & Germany have held it twice,Spain,Italy,France,Argentina have all held it

Apart from the Dutch and brazil who hold it in 2014 we are the only so called big footballing nation not to get a sniff and we actually exported the game all around the world so these pratts like platini and blatter et al can have a life of luxury milking the game

I think we should pull out of it, not that anyone would give a f**k but at least we would spare ourselves further embarrassment!!!!

I will be 67 in 2030 and under this government would still be working so a few sickies, as for qatar i dont think it will be a summer world cup not after this quote '

Hottest average temperatures in Qatar peak at around 41 Celsius in June and July. Of course, that doesn’t reflect what it is really like to be out in the sun in the middle of the day when temperatures can reach or pass 50 degrees Celsius.

It’s also worse in the city, where air-conditioners pump cold air into the houses but hot air into the city.

The towns are also located in the coastal areas, where there is greater humidity. Everyone who can leaves Qatar for the summer.

To be honest if it was a winter/autumn/spring world cup then it would change things somewhat, the Fa and premier league should tell them to do one if they want to change our season to suit them.Reports in the media tonight suggest that the FA are furious with FIFA,not just because they have been snubbed again but because the whole process has nothing to do with football, let's face it,this country has the best football infrastructure in the world, everything is already set up to host a world cup but for reasons beyond most people we are not given it.Forget arrogance, the Germans were arrogant before being awarded the 2006 world cup, that was the real farce when they were awarded the world cup before us solely as it turns out because we wouldn't travel across the world for pointless friendliest just to secure votes

The best response to this is for England to win the next World cup but then I do live in cloud cuckoo land.

Is there anybody out there who thinks the overpaid, over-hyped prima donnas who wear the three-lion badge are up to it?

But then we Greeks did win the European championship. So dreams can come true.

The fact we were regarded as having the best bid in football terms and by far the easiest job to get the tournament ready because of the standard of the stadia we already have,we only got 2 votes,it turns out that we officially had the best technical bid but only 3 of the dossiers on this bid were actually looked at out of 22,this just stinks to be honest

Yeah cricket,awesome
