I would say there is a good chance of the game being ON!

 

According to the Ashford website their pitch last night was playable and the game was only called off 30 minutes before KO because the Ref thought the players and supporters (probably all 50 Ashford supporters if they were lucky) would have trouble getting home.

 

Forecast is for hardly any snow in the Ashford area and temperatures to be no worse and possibly a couple of degrees higher by Saturday.

Looks like the Ashford guy was none too pleased it was called off at 7.15 PM- what a joke and an inconvenience to those who had made the journey.

Postponing games due to potential travel difficulties getting home is a complete joke. I didn't notice the football league and Sky TV worrying about that when they schedule matches. I recall a Watford game at Maine Road at 6:30pm on a Saturday evening meaning it was impossible to get a train back before Sunday morning. Same with an away game at Preston with an 8pm kick-off on a Thursday. Still went to both however!!

 

If the pitch was playable then it should have been played.

Pitch inspection planned for 11am Saturday morning. Very unlikely the game will be on.
