Wingate is my coldest of late.

I remember going to Peter Bonetti's testemonial once.

Sat in there new stand.

The wind went straight through me.

I had 2 cups of Bovril (1st time ever tasted it) just to keep warm.

Harlow at home about 8 years ago was the coldest, think it was the bryco cup, although it may of been Essex senior cup

All I can remember is wanting someone to score an own goal so we could go home!

Not sure how much snow you have there, but we are up to 7 inches currently, and it is still snowing.

Spoke to ken yesterday,he wants to wait till tomorrow before deciding what to do.

We have only had a tiny bit of snow since late last night, not sure when the next dump of snow is as the weather keeps changing, would just keep checking on here.Got about 10 people to help so far but it will need a lot more than that to clear a pitch

Yes that's the one,I don't think my balls or tits have ever recovered.

I am going to give ken a bell about 10ish tomorrow and we will take it from there,I think the immediate priority could be the path down to the ground but this will depend on how much snow we get tonight and tomorrow

As you can all tell,we have had another load of snow last night and it is still snowing and will till early afternoon

If forecasts are correct then tomorrow it will start to warm up and Saturday it will be up to 7c,problem then would be that all the snow on the pitch would melt and do the pitch no good at all,so it would need to come off in the next day or so.it would require a small army to do this,The latest position by the club is to wait until tomorrow to see what happens as it will be cold again tonight,if needed it may require many hands Saturday morning to try to get the game on

We will definatly need people at some stage though to help clear the path, this will probably be needed Saturday morning anyway

Any idea as to where we might get hold of some of those snow-clearing scoops, they look to be pretty effective. Imagine b&q will have sold out, can we borrow somw?.

i'm not available today as i'm on a pub-slip around chelmsford this evening. bearing this in mind, i think young jordan makes an excellent point that the stands should be cleared and possibly the pitch too. this will ensure that most of the work is done by saturday so i don't have to work too hard. think about it. cheers.

Lol,I think the problem is that if we clear it too early then it could turn to ice,it may just be better to wait till Saturday morning and with many hands just have a right go at it.with regards to the stands, not sure they will necessarily need doing as if the temperature does get up to 6-7c Saturday it would melt the snow pretty quickly and would not turn to ice at those temperatures

Personally I would try and clear some stuff from around the ground as soon as it stops snowing but the club think

It's better to wait till tomorrow before looking at it again, which also has it's benefits
