Hello - just an advance notice that STAGE 2 of the League will start after Margate's 21st match. All new picks must be made before k.o. of the 22nd game.

To remind you all - here are the prizes for Stage 1 of the competition.

Prizes update

 

1st round of competition (1st 21 games played by Margate)

 

<NOTE to ensure prizes are allocated to as many players as possible, players can only win one prize per round>

1) To highest placed MARGATE SUPPORTER £100 BAR TAB @ THE HARTSDOWN (donated by Pagey)

2) Highest placed player after 1) has been decided - £20 (donated by David & Sylvia Cotton) + £29 a pound a player (donated by PeterW)

3) Random Prize (donated by Chris Hopson) 8 cans of Fosters & 8 cans of Carling for the lowest placed contestant predicting the position of FOLKESTONE.

4) Bottom placed player .. (booby prize) 8 cans 'Value Bitter or Lager'or 2 bottles of 'Value Cider'.

2nd round of competition (accumulated scores of 1st round predictions + 2nd round predictions at the end of season).

 

PRIZE POOL = £2 a Margate point (donated by Cookie) + £2 a Margate win (donated by PeterW) + £10 a Margate hat-trick (donated by Broadstairs DAVE) + £4 a Margate clean sheet (donated by Michael) + £2 a goal (from Margates top scorer) donated by C.A.A.(now on forum as BUFC ) + £29 (a pound a player in the prediction league .. donated by PeterW )

 

Current totals = £42 (points) + £10 (wins) + £16 (clean sheets) + £14 (top scorer) + £29 (players) + £10 (Hat-trick) = £121

END OF COMPETITION PRIZE ALLOCATION

1st 70% of prize pool (currently £84.70)

2nd 20% of prize pool (currently £24.20)

3rd 10% of prize pool (currently £12.10)

Margate 2011-12 shirt for next highest placed Margate supporter player (donated by Pagey)

Random Prize £30 to the highest place player who correctly predicts the finishing position of BURY TOWN at the end of the season (donated by Chris Hopson)

Peter - Like Margate I am expecting to make a spectacular recovery to a much better position during stage 2 of the league. I am therefore happy to keep my table as per stage 1.
