Have you actually cancelled sky? Or just sky sports

Reason why I ask is I am thinking of getting sky or virgin but I don't want sports channels

 

 

99% of Sky is total rubbish, mainly repeats and the worse kind of dreary American crap. If you really want to make filthy rich arrogant premiership footballers even richer, get Sky.

 

I would love to cancel it but her indoors wont let me, how sad is that.

My reason is mainly a protest against Sky as I think it is ruined professional football by pumping money into players pockets. You will notice that the saturation of live football, mainly big city clubs will eventually suffocate the smaller clubs.

 

Better to cancel Sky Sports and follow your local non league club who really need and appreciate your support.

I couldn't believe it last week when Alec Ferguson said Wayne Rooney was so brave because he actually took a penalty. I thought that's what he got paid £250,000 a week to do. I wonder if Ferguson praised the bravery of the prawn sandwich makers, or the programme sellers for doing their jobs?

 

Its only mugs like me who still subscribe to Sky that allow these ridiculous people to live in a different world to the rest of us.

I want sky as I miss all the cracking channels about nature,history and other documentaries but I don't miss it for football,it's been 14 months since we moved into the flat and I have only missed the docs,not saying I don't watch

Premier league footy as I watch arsenal at my mums or down the pub when they are on but I don't miss the other crap,my old girl asked if I was popping round to watch Chelsea earlier but I was quite happy watching Norwich v Ipswich,think football is being overkilled now,I wonder If that's the real reason why gates lower down are dropping

Depends what you like,when I was at home we had all the channels,there is so much to choose from you couldn't get bored and they are all educational

With sky sports they have sucked everyone in and now the majority either have to pay to watch footy or you don't,with it they have created complete to$$ers like Rooney

It's the same with cricket

I just wonder what the attendances would be like at non league level if football was limited to one live Sunday game on terrestrial tv and highlight programmes Tuesday and Wednesday & Saturday nights for European and league games

 

 

When I was a kid in the early sixties non league clubs could sign league players and not have to pay a transfer fee, it wouldn't be that unusual to see four or five ex internationals playing in a Southern League match. Because of that a lot of kids were attracted to non league football and many of us still enjoy it till this day.

 

Maybe one way to get more fans through the turn-styles is to allow everyone still in full-time education to watch our matches for free, and hope they hang around when they get jobs.
