Bedford Town v Windsor & Eton

Given the current circumstances that could turn out to be a massive 3 points in the context of our season.

Not the most exiting game but a good well fought encounter nonetheless. It was great to see Bully back, it was as if he had never been away, commanded his area brilliantly.

Disappointed with malc's report,WINDSOR END WINLESS RUN,are we rock bottom, have we been poor,no we have not,who sanctions such a report, how about we include in our WINLESS RUN,we have gained points against Chippenham/Cambridge/Hemel Hempstead ,all away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why do we not include in our report big positives from yesterday ie: GEORGE GOULD 17YRS,LEWIS FOGARTY 18YRS both made there Windsor 1st team debuts in a real league match, both came on for 20 and 10 mins respectfully, and also played there part in the win and are very much part of the future development (both local lads) to me 'WINLESS RUN' gives wrong impression, how about we big our team/managment and supporters for once,in what are difficult times,COME ON WINDSOR,were on a great run lets enjoy this wonderful magical mystery tour at level 3,in adverse times we are out performing some big clubs with big budgets long may it continue, can i also say great to see Bully back, yesterdays result was even better considering,Adam Bernard(hamstring) Sam Wadieh (tweeks hamstring prior to game) Ashleigh James (ankle) Jeff Brown (groin) and Tom Mudge all missing,i believe we also had a young lad 18 just released by West Ham watching who is about to sign for Windsor & Eton, our club is Developing a good base of young local talent which can only bode well for the future,i was told after the game by Dave and Byron they had secured the services of Dwane Lee the previous evening and he would be in the squad for the Hayes game.

Micky Woodham who looks after our under 18's and young reserve team should be commended on what he has achieved even though sometimes results have not gone his way,if anyone is interested both sides are hopefully playing this week,Hanwell away on monday and the reserves at home on wednesday subject to weather, believe there are one or two big meetings regarding the club this week, i wish Dave/Kevin and the commitee members attending good luck, hopefully when there is some more news we can hold another meeting at the club for all to attend and discuss a way and a plan forward, times have been difficult in recent months but i for one am delighted to be associated with WINDSOR &ETON FC,good luck to the club on tuesday away at Hayes in the league cup weather permitting, unfortunatley i cannot make tuesday but will be at the Hednesford game,COME ON WINDSOR 3 MORE POINTS PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!

We have gone a number of games without a win in the league and yesterday we ended that hence ending a winless run.

Fair enough I didn't mention the youngsters and will alter the report when I can.

For whats it worth i totally agree with Mal! Agreed we drew with a couple of top sides away but they were games that i and even the managment admited we should have won! And overall i've been slightly disappointed with the quality of a lot of the teams we've played at this level. I don't feel this division is much better than last seasons.

Well maybe I'm a glass half full man but I was viewing it as an undefeated run in the League, rather than a winless run.

Interesting to see more youngsters coming through. Needs must because of injuries I suppose but there appears to be no shortage of players willing to come and play here. If the budget is going to be cut as seems inevitable then presumably these young players will be a cheaper option. Blooding them gradually to see who's got what is a sensible move.

Am in full agreement,an undefeated run against some of the top teams is a far better way of describing this young teams development,am suprised by the comment of no stronger than the League below, this League is alot tougher in my opinion and alot quicker,if we are disappointed by some teams that must say Dave/Byron and the players need to be commended for the way we have played,COME ON WINDSOR,onwards we go fearing knowone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I personally would say the top of this division is not as strong as I had believed it would be. By contrast the Windsor team is considerably stronger throughout every position than I thought it would be. I expected a lot more from the top 5 or 6 teams and maybe that is why Truro (who after a year of consolidation) are now taking the division by the scruff of the neck and doing what they did to the S&W two years ago. And good luck to them.

As for Windsor, well the defence has been phenominal, it has gelled incredibly quickly and how many times have we said that a memebr of teh defensive team could easily be MoM. The midfield just keeps getting better and better and looking at the away performances against he top sides have proved they are a match for anyone in this division.

And up front, well, what can you say. Football league clubs want him, teams put two players on him from the start, he has been touted as a saleable asset, he has been pulled this way and that and yet he reamins loyal and keeps scoring. I for the life of me can't see why no-one has bought him yet! sheer quality and would love for us to sort our problems and hold on to him, but for his sake would love to see him play at the highest possible level.

Mudge & Byron have done a fantastic job and bringing thorugh youngsters isa direction this club has lacked over the last few years and will pay dividends in years to come.

Has Delroy gone? For all his cavalier goalkeeping and interesting moments in goal a think a great deal of thanks need to go to him for his time between the posts, he has earned us a great deal of those points on the board and that shouldn't be ignored.

One last thing, how good was it to get a game yesterday, I think all the games in the Central div were off Saturday, 6 off in the S&W and 3 in our div, so well done to Bedford if it was the groundsmen. Another 3 points close to safety and some cup glory (hopefully) Tuesday....
